Who said we are the bad guys? Oh yes, your Republic. What makes us bad? Is it our desire to liberate you from an oppressive government. As you know, systems are not allowed to leave the Republic, unless another power sets them free. Perhaps it is how we do not follow the laws set out by the Jedi. They claim the Force is their exclusive domain to rule over, yet they do not allow study of all aspects of the force due to fear. There is no "Dark Side" as we use all abilities within the force. Do not listen to their propaganda, as it is they who are the enemy.
We were cast out and exiled by the Jedi, merely for wishing to study the ways of the Force. The desire of the Jedi to maintain control drove us away, as they are unwilling to accept new ideas. Our movement started as a desire to help others, by preventing death and reviving dead worlds. For this we were exiled to lands beyond Republic Space.
In exile, we were welcomed by the Sith people. They first thought of us as gods, as we were advanced and had such a knowledge of the force. Over the years our two people became one, and Sith became a political idea rather than a race. Our one uniting factor was our memory of the treatment of the Republic towards us.
Revan? Revan was not one of us. That ordeal was separate from our actions, as Revan's goal was to prevent our coming. Yet in the minds of the Republic we are associated with him because anyone that he called his organization. The desecration of the Valley of the Dark Lords by these false Sith further shows their separation from our movement.
Over time we set out to seek revenge upon the Republic and liberate the Galaxy of its influence. It may appear as conquest, but to leave a system in anarchy is an evil that can not be tolerated. Yet this is where the Republic builds its case against us. While we have lost much, we are stronger than ever and ready to bring about a new order.
