Constructive Criticism

This is an opportunity for you to vent out some frustration at Bioware and to help improve the game at the same time if they read it. Just say one thing(more if you want) you don't like so far, why you don't like it, and how you would fix it.

Kinda go with the swtor forum rules on this, I don't want to see "I hate stuff because it is stupid so get rid of it."

gumby

For example:

I don't like the Gumby cutouts seen in recent smuggler clips because they are too blocky and too big. One remedy for this would be to smooth the edges and make it less opaque, or just leave the arrow markers seen for other forms of cover.

    Hoping for the same thing.

I know how you feel, Bossk was my favorite Bounty Hunter because he lived to retirement instead of falling into a pit of doom.

By the way I'm not a believer in the canon story about how Boba escaped from the Sarlacc.

I won't get angry about no Mac version, as much as I'd like to :P
I'll just say "Player housing is so awesome you'd better have it!!"
  • #25 sado
It would be cool to see some type of player housing, loved it in SWG.

I'm with you on player housing too, it really has to be in game in some cool form, not just instanced housing like they have in LOTRs. Ship housing with be so sweet, me going to be a Bounty Hunter and all, smugglers would also fit the role of having their ships act as their houses too.

I'm not too familiar with Macs so I wont get into that.
As far as player housing goes I would be content with making my ship my house as long as it is not an Ebon Hawk clone with no customization.

According to one interview we did there will be instances.(That is about all we know about instancing right now) There are boss fights, as there is a jedi "boss" in the demo. It just may not be like WoW "bosses" where you need 20 guys to do dps, a few healers and a tank or 2. As for everything else we need to wait and see. There are lots of things we still need to see revealed, as the most recent trailer was the first to show the UI clearly and decent clips of combat.

Well, my hope is that they make distance apart very important.

Basically, if you know a certain attack is coming (melee) you might be able to jump away and avoid it (but then you obviously can't attack either). Perhaps some sort of system like that.

Similarly, if a ranged fighter is shooting you, the best solution is to run up very close!

Just an idea on how to make movement important.

Smugglers are supposed to be able to run away and shoot at the same time.

Bounty Hunters can fly up to avoid melee.

Jedi/Sith can jump fast to close the gap or throw their weapons.

Troopers are wrapped in armor and carry a big gun.

Smugglers are also the only class, I read or watched an interview, that smugglers are the only class that can run away and shoot. This I suppose would be to make up for their lack of armor giving them more survivability.

Also, Bounty Hunters have anti-melee moves, mainly the flamethrower (AOE too).

While the Jedi stands still at least it looks like your enemies are mobile. If you watch the trailer at around 3:25-3:30 you see a robot running around going after multiple targets.

Why is it awesome? How to you propose that they solve this problem?
  • #9 Sedit
I've got more of a worry then a complaint since we don't know much about the direction of the Bounty is going just yet.

I just hope the jet-pack isn't just a combat only item or you can't move around while it's turned on. If it turns out to be like that, then what a lackluster skill it will turn into =/ I don't want it to be a mount either, they would be just as silly, but rather I want it to be what it really is, a Jump-Pack, jet propelled. Like, I would love the ability to jump to higher levels to catch prey or use it to get better position in combat.

For the moment it is sounding like it's a combat only skill. Devs have already mentioned two skills using jet-packs and hinted at more. I just hope it's a lot more then that because otherwise it would just be a fancy firing special skill.
