As we all know there are guys out there that have female avatars and girls with male avatars. Some people do this to get free stuff (just dont expect them to ever be on vent) while others just do it for fun.

I will admit I am a male and prefer to have male characters, but that wont stop me from having a female character. (I just wont lead people on to have them think I am a female behind the seat) Back in my WoW days I knew people that would fill each role. The only person that didnt want me to roll a female character was one girl I knew because it kinda freaked her out when I got on vent. She kinda upset me because she had a male alt too.

For this game I am not going to care about gender, but about voice. I have said many times around here I dont want to sound like Duke Nukem. If it means I am a female character I'm fine with that because I get to play the class I want and I wont go crazy from dialogue.

What about you? Are you a guy that likes to pretend to be a lady on the internet. (I'm not passing any judgement, just asking) Are you a lady that rolls a guy? Let us know.

    The only way i'd play a female character is if it were forced on me to play the game like tomb raider series for example the lead character is a female named lara croft or to experience the "canon" ending of a game like kotor 2 the lead character being "The Exile" a female lightside protagonist in the canon ending for the game.

    Otherwise I'll always play a male characters in games I play if the options there,the only other way i'd consider playing a female character is if i'd beaten every possible male related story ending to a game and wanted to see the female "perspective" in the main story unfold like "the exile" in kotor 2 and the way the people in the world treat her compared to a male lead character would be treated.

    I was reminded of something I did in the SWG trial that comes in here. (It just didnt get to me, likely because it was post NGE)

    If you played it you would know that to be a successful entertainer you need to be a pretty female avatar to get lots of customers. Knowing this I made an overweight male Sullustan that had his age cranked up to as old as I could make him. A fat guy with a blue fez dancing around a bar is alot more entertaining than your average Twilek dancer.

    Go against the flow I say. (That is why I plan to be light side for my characters in the Empire)

    Yeah what Sedit said, goto Gravatar.com and signup with the same email address you used to sign up here. Then add an image to your profile on Gravatar.com and wait 2-3 minutes for it to apply.

    I'm the type of player who feels like his characters are extensions of himself and seeing myself with squeezable female bits lends to the feeling of cyber-cross-dressing. That being said, I have no issue with other dudes playing as chicks - It's just not appealing to me.

    I'm not sure how you could feel this unless you started in RPGs. Coming from the console generation, I've NEVER aligned myself with my character. I mean, as a kid, I could NOT see myself as a mustachioed plummer. Super Metroid was my first real game AS a gamer, and she's female. I dunno, is this a computer gamer's thing? I am interested to know the difference.

    I choose male because I'm male, that and male playing female because hawt pixels wasn't an option

    Too many games like MGS where you stare at a dude's shiny butt the whole game.
