Fear->Anger->Hate->Suffering->Red Lightsabers

Sith. Is it a species? Is it an empire? Is it an ideology? Lets go with all of the above. Most important when thinking of the Sith these days is the ideology. The Sith Order is the evil counterpart to the Jedi. They stole their name from the first aliens they subjugated when they were exiled from the Jedi Order. Time to put on your thinking caps class, because it is time to study the Dark Side

When in training the Sith are also starkly different from the Jedi. The Jedi place a great emphasis on meditation, as well as defensive combat. Sith see combat as a way of bettering themselves, with the strongest being their leader. (similar to the Mandalorian structure) If you remember the original Knights of the Old Republic the Sith at the Academy had you betray your peers and leaders in order to advance within the ranks. It also explains your current situation. The emphasis conflict for betterment is also seen within their code.

Passion, strength, power, blah blah blah. We have seen that a million times in signatures on the forums, but it is important. Raw emotions are discouraged by the Jedi, so naturally the Sith embrace them. If you are angry, let it all out as it gives you strength.(even if there is no anger)

The political Structure that the Sith used within their empire was a governing council, with an emperor at the head. (For history nerds like me, think of Roman empire with Caesar and the senate with most of the power with the emperor) There was also the Master/Apprentice system that carried over from the Jedi exiles. Other ranks and titles also existed, but they are trivial in the long run. Just remember that "Darth" did not exist at the time, because Revan made up the term.

The history of the Sith Empire is one of constant conflict with the Republic and Jedi Order. It started with the Hundred Years of Darkness, where horrid creatures were made with the Dark Side of the Force. During the Golden Age of the Sith the empire consisted of hundreds of planets, with the capital of Ziost.(Korriban was a tomb for the great leaders at this point in time) About 5000 BBY the Sith Empire went into hiding with the defeat of Naga Sadow. Several wars took place between then, but the details are minor in the long run. (unless the rackghouls return) Others would arise to claim the title of Sith,(Revan) yet the True Sith Empire was in hiding until the recent conflict. The rest we wait to have revealed, as Bioware is writing the lore for this chapter of Star Wars history.

    I went with this quote to draw my conclusions from this part of the wiki. "They remade themselves into Darth Revan and Darth Malak, marking the first recorded use of the honorific Darth title" The important thing is it is not a rank, but a title and people should not give themselves the title in their names, they should earn the title.
