21,000 years ago our beloved Republic was founded. In this desperate hour all are called upon to assist in its defense. While we want all who are able to assist, we also want people to know what they fight for. The following explains why we fight and why we must survive.
Since the rediscovery of the Rakata by Revan, we have determined that the first founders of the Republic were able to travel thanks to the study of ancient Rakatan hyperdrives. With the union of systems a common language and currency were set for trade between many species. With the poor technology of the time, westward travel was difficult due to the density of stars at the galactic core, leaving eastward expansion. This conflicted with the Hutt Empire, yet the distaste for the Hutts drew many systems to our cause. Growth was fairly constant with small military conflicts, yet all was fairly stable for thousands of years.

3,000 years ago Dark times began for the Republic. A splinter faction within the Jedi order left the Republic to bring about the Hundred Years of Darkness. Durring this time horrid creatures were developed by these fallen Jedi, now known as Sith as they adopted the name from the beings they came to dominate.
1,000 years later the Great Hyperspace War commenced. Sith that had been in hiding had sinced revealed themselves and brought about an attack on the Jedi Order as well as the Republic. We managed to defeat these Sith and the leader Naga Sadow was forced into hiding on Yavin.
To thank the Jedi for their aid in the conflict, a mountain where a force nexus was located was given to the Jedi on Coruscant. On this mountain the Temple was built and was made the headquarters for the Jedi order until the recent events.
The Sith invaded again 300 years ago, just before the Mandalorian War. Exar Kun managed to lead the first attack on Coruscant since the founding of the Republic. While damaged, the Republic prevailed and pushed back these invaders. However, they would remain a constant threat to us all up to the present.
Following these wars were the Mandalorian War and Jedi Civil War. This recent history is still scarred in our memories. Our Republic is fragile, as we have lost many systems and our capital is in ruins. While this peace holds we rebuild and regroup, as the Sith can not be trusted to keep the peace. Come fight the good fight and help the Republic in its darkest hour. Join us
