Coming from the planet Shili,Togruta are familiar to us all by now. You can see these aliens in the new trilogy, (youngling and deleted scene), the comics, screenshots, and about everywhere mentioned in the Kel Dor article. Sporting 3, sometimes 4, head tails Togruta remind us of Twi'leks. The two things on the top of the head are called montrals. Montrals are hollow and are used for sensing movement. As you can see they often have striped head tails/montrals and a red or orange face.
Ok, now that I have told you what you can see from any picture of a Togruta it is time to mention their culture. Togruta came from strong hunter gatherer societies. (more hunter, less gatherer) These communal groups would share all that was gathered, but everyone had to pull their weight. Those that did not were left behind as that is what natural selection is for. While the screenshots show shoes, Togruta are often seen barefoot.
Togruta were discovered around 25000 BBY, leaving them well within the time frame for this game. After entering the republic Togruta were generally pacifists but would still fight when needed. The first confirmed Jedi from this species fought in the Mandolorian War. (too bad she is remembered for a padawan massacre she was part of) Togruta Jedi had a lower midi-chlorian count but stronger connection to force, possibly due to their montral's ability to assist in spacial awareness.
Togruta are also on the short list of highly likely playable aliens, as there are numerous sightings of them in screenshots, video and avatars. Twi'lek fans may end up with these look alikes if both are not in the game. As for me I could see one of my alts being a Togruta because they have neat heads. Only thing I worry about is how helmets would be handled with species with unique heads such as these. Questions, comments, and concerns should be listed here.
