The Ithorians

The peaceful calming species known as the Ithorians, natives to Ithor, will be another race in The Old Republic. Whether or not they will be playable is not known at this point, but as a fan of Ithorians, there is hope. The Ithorians skin colors are not on a wide spectrum, usually dark brown to light brown. Also capable of speaking in Stereo due to their two mouths and four throats. Their language is very difficult to learn, but they are commonly known to speak Galactic Basic.

Most Ithorians don't ever set foot on Ithor, because they stay in the floating cities above Ithor known as Herdships. Once they discovered repulsorlift technology (anti-gravity technology capable of levitating an object), they built the Herdships and migrated to them, as to keep Ithor pristine. Once every five years, the Ithorian Herdships all link together for a huge festival and regal ceremony.

Each group of Ithorians are lead by a High Priest, and are a non violent group, but are capable of defending themselves. Capable of the ability to violently expel air, causing a deafening and concussive scream. The Ithorians don't tend to deal with violent individuals, whom are banished from the Herdships and Planets from where they came. Most will call Ithorians friendly and pleasant to be around, while others think of them as dull. But the Ithorians banished, mostly become drifters, thiefs, or bounty hunters.

Ithorians are also capable of becoming Force Sensitive, such as Jedi Master Roron Corobb.

As cool as the Ithorians look, I can not stand the way they sound in KotOR. I've always skipped over their conversations as fast as I could after reading their dialog.

ALso, why does every species in the Star Wars Universe seem to be force sensitive capable? Some species just doesn't make sense, like the Ithorians. I mean, one mistake and they can cut off the front part of their heads

...oh and last complaint, haha sorry, why are they call Ithorians? They should be called something like Hammerhead Slugs or something to that effect.

One of the reasons they can be force sensitive is because being force sensitive is due to the bacteria like midichlorians in the blood. Get enough of those and an earthworm could become force sensitive.

Earthworm Jedi? Id play that game

    Too much like Earthworm Jim.

Earthworm Jim is awesome, Earthworm Jedi is even better

Yeah, I get that... I'm just saying from a fans point of view, it just doesn't look cool =/

Calling them Hammerheads is quite offensive. Title was going to be "Don't call us Hammerheads" but was to early in the morning

Really? Is that something Ithorians are known for hating?
  • #6 Sleeper
    Yes haha

Named after their planet but I agree, they should be called the Hammerslugs. Also wookies, ithorians, and jawas being force sensitive to me all seem rather dumb. Seems to be just a way of artificially creating more content than what is needed but this is one of the side effects of Lucas' handling of the property rather than a problem of Bioware.

Ithorians are also known for giving in to physical threats when you want to buy assassin droids from them, but he will lie about it being violent until after you buy it.
