If there was one thing you could change from the classes you saw, what would it be?
  • #101 emlaeh
    This is a good question.

With the hands-on being strictly focused on the second pillar: combat.

Was their any focus on the combat system in terms of combo points within abilities and then chaining with other characters in your group?

What is the release date? Is there space combat and if so, how do you travel from planet to planet? ( Can you fly your craft to another planet or do you simply spawn from spaceport to spaceport? )
  • #30 BizzzIMO
My question would have to be: What is the combat system like, and what new combat information did you guys aquire during your awesome trip to San Fran =)

I, too, won't be able to join the ventrillo myself due to US-Europe time differences. Thus, no code is necessary.

I have, however, one question, and would be obliged if you could answer it:

If you saw some live gameplay (similarly to Pax walkthorugh video, for instance, with developers playing few classes live on the stage):
Does it seem that skill usage in combat is smooth and the game's UI is reacting quickly?
I mean the animations I have seen so far are generally ok, but I'm asking about the server-client response time.
Might be hard to spot that, I know. But, perhaps you somehow got the general feeling...

BTW thanks for all the work and research on SWTOR! Great source of info you are.

Not really sure what kind of questions your after, but:

Would you prefer Space Combat or Player Housing?
  • #25 JediCosmin
Will they be revealing races any time soon?
(thanks for this opportunity guys, great job in advance :) - also, please don't send me anything because i will be unable to join a ventrilo at that particular time and day. all the best though )

My question: It looks to me like companion characters will be NPC's you run into during your travels - how is Bioware going to make it look not-so-silly when four people all have the same companion character? Or am I completely off here?

Example conversation: "How is your Atton? Darkside? Oh mine's Light. Yeah I turned him dark in this quest. Made him look ugly though. I met a guy with an Atton that had a rifle, that was weird."

    LOL. Love the demo conversation.

Did you learn anything about the technical aspect of the game? Any cool tidbits or tools they were using, etc. ;)
  • #22 Fedaykin
What part of: "ONE QUESTION" did everyone misread here. Seriously guys try to keep this a little proper? I know you're all exited about the game, but lets try to find out as much as we can by being smart about it, rather than obliterate our chances for any info by spamming questions.

This might be obvious but since you didn't write it in the post I gotta make sure.
Will you record everything said on vent so those that can't join can still listen at a later time?
  • #27 emlaeh
Yes, it will be recorded for your aural pleasure.
