Dissection and Analysis of the Alderaan Warzone Video



Our most important job here at Darth Hater is to find the hidden reveals in Star Wars: The Old Republic media, and today's warzone video is filled with covert tidbits. We caught a glimpse of several new class abilities, SWTOR's implementation of mission objectives, and much more. Note: Things mentioned in prior dissections will not be mentioned here again.     lots of comments so i don't know if it's been said, but compare the SW/JK combat frame to vid doc #4 and tell me whether or not the ability you're seeing is the same as the one seen at 2:26-7. it looks like the SW extends his empty off hand at his JK opponent and purple lightning envelops the JK, causing the JK to momentarily slump and stop attacking. i believe this a form (cc or debuff) of the SW lightning ability JO promised we would see with SW.

    I belive the reason we see implants being more pervasive on the dark side (Vader, Grevious as examples), is that healing has traditionally been seen as a light side "skill" (for want of a better term). Also the corrupting influence the dark side has on its practitioners body and soul. Maybe the darkside destroys the cells in the body to a point where the force can't restore it and cybernetic implants are the only solution.

    0:35 Seconds in, during the view of the Republic characters running at the screen, what is the single blue lightsaber wielding player? Has white/light blue hair and white/tannish skin, looks like it' isn't quite human, Rattataki maybe? Anyone able to figure it out? Or am I going crazy and it's just another human.

    Picture #8 The weapon on that toons back looks very similar to a "powered down" version of the weapon wielded by the Kel-Dor in the Video Documentary #1 at 04:17. A staff melee weapon to counter against lightsabers in melee combat. Thoughts?

    The unknown object behind the IA could be shells for the cannons. It almost looks like a stack of cylindrical(sp?) shell in a magazine. Or maybe grenades.

    in the Video during 1:00 to 1:03 if you watch the smuggler he puts down his own portable cover just like the Imperial Agent.

    Could the unknown icon in image 16 signify a contested objective?

    I am thinking it is some sort of objective... I just don't know what kind. This is the site for speculation, however. Any other ideas or comments?

    On the last screenshot Vette ist seen crafting anything. But Vette ist confirmed as a treasure hunter. What is she doing at the crafting tables? Can a companion get more as one skills? Or can you assign them to assist other crewmates?

    Vette just has a treasure hunter buff. So she get slightly better chances at good gear. All companions can do any skill you have trained for.

    The cybernetic eyepatch isn't gear unfortunately. It's also been seen previously on the Smuggler character (Rhys) in the GamesCom vids right after he appears from creation (later inventory screenshots show that he has nothing equipped to his head or "trinket" slots), thus indicating it's a character creation customization option.

    Personally I hope we'll see more cybernetic customization options in the future, it's definitely a cool addition.

    That symbol on the crafting soldiers arm. It looks a little like a variation of the Mandalorian Mythosaur Skull symbol. Almost a hybrid of the Mythosaur Skull and the Zann Skull of the Zann Consortium.

    Im thinking the only reason why theres only 2 companions is because they dont want to show companions they havnt previously shown because DH would notice it.
