With early access and the launch of Star Wars: The Old Republic just around the corner, the importance on end-game content here at Darth Hater will continue to be a priority. As you may have seen, we previewed the gear from Operations in our earlier feature. Darth Hater and Republic Justice come together once again to bring you a Q&A including videos and commentary of end-game content, PVP tactics and much more.

Posted 12/11/2011 12:30:57 PMHere's a question that actually has something to do with the game...
What happened to Loot Containers? I thought that all the boss drops from operations were supposed to be given out to the operations teams via loot containers.

Posted 12/11/2011 12:49:59 PMYou get those from daily/weekly quests. As for actual drops, they've never actually been in that role in-game despite the PR team selling them that way.

Posted 12/11/2011 1:16:55 PMYet another example of this company going against their own philosophy and talking about stuff before it is implemented. The pr team and SR are almost as ill-informed as we are. But that doesn't stop him from running his mouth on twitter 24/7

Posted 12/11/2011 1:29:44 PMEh, the main source of loot is the quests, as everyone in the raid gets them compared to only 1-3 pieces per boss for the raid. Yeah, it goes against what they said, but it works.

Posted 12/11/2011 2:21:10 PMI'm sure it works. It just troubles me that 50% of the stuff we hear about this game from devs or PR can't be trusted. When SR came in, everyone started talking more. Everyone loved it. But in the long run, I think it has been for the worse because they are talking too much about stuff that isn't for certain.
In Sean Dahlberg's day as CM, no one was saying much but at least we could trust what we heard.
SR has to apologize on a daily basis on twitter it seems. That's partially his fault because he runs his mouth too much and partially the rest of the team making this game because they are feeding him bad information, knowing that he is going to run his mouth.

Posted 12/11/2011 2:27:00 PMThe only backtracking that has had much of an impact is the grace period, beyond that nothing really signifcant that comes to mind at least.
I certainly at least prefer Reid as the Community lead over Dahlberg, and thats nothing against Dahlberg, who know's how much he was even allowed to communicate at that point in game development.

Posted 12/12/2011 5:25:47 PMThat's how I assumed it would work TBH. It's hard to know when we are fed little trickles of information, but the way they described the loot containers always sounded like quest rewards (even though they never actually called them quest rewards). This is a classic example of the tempest in a teapot that happens over any tiny bit of information released on SWTOR.
At least this way they can have more variety in the loot tables; Some stuff you roll on (or master looter I guess) and some stuff that's guarenteed for finishing.

Posted 12/11/2011 10:08:28 AMFor all this talk about not wanting the SWTOR community to slip down to the levels of WoW's, everyone here, including you seems to be doing a great job imitating it right down to the tee.
I've been lurking around Darth Hater's site for years now and it's damn sad when we have hooligans everywhere plaguing this place, bringing their mutual guild hate everywhere they go. Republic Justice, Brutality, Ebonlore, and the rest of whatever guilds are on here raging. I'm sure most of y'all are great guys, but can you please keep your immature, drama drumming, bile spewing members on a short leash? I'm sure you guys all have your differences, but frankly these trash talking opportunists are making each and every one of your guilds look like collective douches that crawled out of the worst pits of WoW.
The only thing a third party bystander like me has gotten out of all this shameful trash talking and opportunistic jabbing is that all of these guilds involved are places I wouldn't want to associate with. I'd be ashamed as a guild master to have these immature people run around inciting drama and not being able to keep them on a leash. Sadly none of the participant guilds involved today are any better or worst. Just another bunch of guilds with mutual hate dragging their fight into another public venue.
Republic Justice, Brutality, Ebonlore, and the rest of you angry guilds, none of you guys are smelling like flowers and roses here, most of us here are MMO vets who already know how these sort of drama works. Kindly bring all of your drama out of this place please.
Good riddance.
