To Synion... wow, I lost a lot of respect for RJ after seeing the vitriol in these posts. I have no idea why someone would try to build themselves up and put others down, than to compensate for their own inadequacies. Ebonlore rolled over you guys in WZs. If we saw RJ in a wz, we knew we had to step it up and focus but we knew there would be no contest. To be honest, it was a much tougher fight going against Apathy than you guys. But anyways, stroke your own ego, hope it makes you feel better; I just hope we end up on the same server so we can roll over you again. ;)

What Merc did you always kill easily? And Apoc... wth is a speedhack? How do I get one? Or are you referring to inquisitors using "Force Speed" as a part of their rotation? *gasp* Someone using all their tools?

Bah, this is pointless. Hope you end up on the server with us guys, it would be fun to see that foot in your mouth.  ;)

Republic Justice. Just a bunch of scrubs who think they are good for being not even truly dominant in a beta. Rocked them more than once as level 25s vs lvl 50s in warzones. They will be destroyed and cast aside come live like they trash they really are. Enjoy your spotlight from Darth Hater while it lasts. You are not the best, you aren't even top. You will be crushed under the skill of real players.

You mad your guild did not get choosen it seems. Like PVP matters in a PVE setting.

We didn't have a real guild, 3 of us doesnt count as a guild. I mean in PvE they will be crushed as well. They stand no chance against real raiders.

Traitors!  Playing for the Rebels.  Hmph.

Just kidding.  I really enjoyed that video.  The EV looks like a lot of fun and it really doesn't look all that easy -if you consider they were all mostly highest tier in normal mode and still had a few wipes.  I can't wait to try it out.

Ah good time good times.  This is one of the reason I love mmo's everyone talking smack and people raging back and forth it is very entertaining.  Even though if they every met each other face to face it would be more like in Zoolander..."Why you been acting so missed up towards me?"  "Why you acting so missed up towards me?" Keep it up folks so I can keep laughing while killing time at work.

So to extend your metaphor. This is the walkoff, then we make up, see that Darth Hater needs some confidence and so all of us, Repub and Imp, have freaky orgy with Darth Hater and everyone is besties!

    Now that's a party!!!

One of the reasons i never got into MMO's was the mentality of "all bosses must be giants"... this was supposed to be gone in SW:TOR (or at least that was the impression i got from BW during interviews and stuff) but it seems they went that route anyway...

sad really, because there is no real reason that the rakata prisoner needs to be a giant... or even those 1v1 bosses, theyre kinda giant too... its just dumb.

Other than that the raids look somewhat interesting...

Did you ever consider how impractical it would be for them to be 1:1 size with players? When you have 8-16 player beating on the same target, you would spend the whole fight not being able to see what you are attacking. That is why they need to make them giants.

I agree it does not need to be to the extent of you fighting a leg the whole time, but they would need to be at a minimum twice the height of a player.

I dont agree... the fights against major plot characters (wont mention wich ones, but ill assume you know the ones i mean) are on a 1:1 scale and people dont seem to have problems with those...

Making them slightly larger (like a head taller than everyone else) would be ok i guess, but making them freakish giants just looks wrong...

There are no main storyline characters in the operations. I can only assume you mean in the flashpoints. That being the case, you're talking about the difference between 4-man and 16-man+. Tantal is right. It would be easy for a boss to get lost in the chaos if it weren't adequately visible.

Just throwing this in there, I have actually beta tested an MMO where the bosses were regular sized. It became IMPOSSIBLE (and believe me, it wasn't for lack of trying) to read the boss--there were too many people attacking him.

Keep in mind also that it isn't JUST the bodies in the way, but also the particle effects of all the various abilities and debuffs hitting him.

It got to the point where people were restricting the number of Melee DPS characters that could join them on boss fights.

It just doesn't work for gameplay. While story is very important, a small concession must be made in order to make the fights vastly more intuitive and approachable to play.

Those flashpoint bosses aren't 1:1 - they are a little bit larger than the player characters but not by too much.
