Given that a greater amount of players are now level 50 and spending additional time with Crew Skills, maps and guides to gathering node locations are becoming more important. When starting new alts to farm gathering materials for Crew Skills, resource maps can be extremely useful in speeding the rate of acquisition for raw components. Our intention is to begin assisting the hunting-gathering player base with a means of locating and identifying all known nodes on each planet. For our third installment, we cover the Bioanalysis nodes of Coruscant.
There are a number of sectors on Coruscant that offer opportunities for the aspiring Bioanalyst. Two of them, Black Sun Territory and the Justicar Sector, offer the greatest potential for harvesters in terms of distribution of spawning nodes, but only the Justicar Sector allows the use of personal vehicle mounts and as such is the much more viable area. If you don't yet have access to personal transportation, by all means explore Black Sun Territory for all its worth, but for the moment we're going to assume you're not limited to travel by foot and will direct our attention to the Justicar Sector. Please keep in mind that other areas such as The Works and Jedi Temple do hold spawn nodes for Bioanalysis, but not in sufficient quantities to warrant the required travel time between zones. You're better off just waiting for respawns.
Level of skill required to gather, name of node object (material gathered)
- 1, Dielectric Tendril (Dielectric Cell Fiber)
- 1, Green Deciduous Stem (Green Goo)
- 25, Bacterial Colony (Bacterial Strain)
- Wildlife in the area can yield random materials, typically wildlife of strong or above.
Because of the limited viability of the other zones on Coruscant as compared to the Justicar Sector, there isn't an ideal farming area or method, per se. You're probably best off simply gunning through the Justicar area on your mount, plundering every node you find then returning to where you started to wait for respawns. Alternately you could do as above and then fast travel to the Black Sun Territory, run through that circuit on foot and return to Justicar to start over, if you're desperately impatient and require a serious quantity of Bio fuels.
Players should also remember that with multiple companions they can level their skills using gathering missions as well, though at a slower rate as compared to harvesting directly. Using both in conjunction will require the least amount of time invested.
