This week's Open Forum is a bit more free form than past installments. Over the last three and a half years of following Star Wars: The Old Republic, we have plenty of things we would like to see in game like everyone else. So, this week we ask of the community at large -- What additions do you want to see? We want to see your bucket-list. If you have a comment that does not fit this question but you think is relevant to the subject, feel free to add it after the jump as well.
We will hand select a few choice comments to be featured in the next podcast episode. Be constructive with your comments and do not flame or degrade others. We will moderate accordingly.

1. I would like to be able to communicate better with the opposing factions in game. So that if Reps want to chat with Imps they can whisper each other or add one and other. While on the subject I'd also like the separation between the reps and imps fixed so that they can talk, look at gear, group if they are both dark side, also share a common guild since both are dark or light.
2. I would like to see our communicational interface upgraded to something more easier, and eye pleasing that also includes a character bio of some sort. But most importantly a better way of chatting. It's the new millennial and honestly I shouldn't have to type in dos language to get a message across to people. Yes I can but my point is I shouldn't have too and some people don't know how too.
3. Guild IMPROVEMENTS: Yes we need them be cause as of now they are not very important in the over all picture.
A) Guild structures perhaps with certain character bonus's would be nice?
B) Guild Calendar for different scheduled events.
C) Stronger interface so that Guild Leaders can communicate more often.
D) Some form of Guild level would be nice to see, along with how much contributed Xp each member has put in. I am sure people would enjoy seeing such information.
E) In game personal / and Guild medals/ achievements section would also be a nice bonus to see one day.
4. Some form of Leader board Big Plus to see in game, something that covers many different areas of the game. Such as:
a) Top 200 Guilds or/ if not both players list for the best Raiding - PVP - World Boss kills - Heroic Pilots for Space Missions - maybe even Leaders in Crafting who produces the most items from schematics or something. Another something for Datacron hunters and also youtube as totally killed Datacron hunting Swtor might think of spicing things up by having locations change per datacron with different challenges along the way given each variation of it's possible appearance. Yes, youtube might kill that too but it would take longer and give everyone a challenge.
5. At present we have " Item compare" meaning that I can look inside my inventory and compare an item to something my character is wearing at present and see what the stat differences are. However, for all of our companions we have too look visually and mentally and see what the differences are. WHY??? I'd like to see an item compare and contrast for when we are gearing our companions up.
7. TEAM SPACE MISSIONS. We have groups for Ops, HM's, PvP, WHY not for Space missions? I don't know but many would like to see that changed so we can group with our friends in space as well. You can even add space pvp or something <----- another reason to gear our ships up.
8. I want more Operational missions for level 50+
9. I want to see at the very least .... !!!! 6 yes, SIX Brand NEW PVP ARENA's by Next year... ! With another upgrade to the PvP gear by then as well.
10. Last but not least: Free to Play - Players are not currently able to post on the SWTOR Forums - They play their opinions are valued just as much as mine are as a subscriber and I'd like to read what they have to say as well as other trolls and what not. lol
Well, so far this is all I can think of at the moment or complain that needs fixing, Yes, I could have mentioned bugs,glitches, and etc, but the reality is as upgrades keep being put in we have to accept the good with the bad. I feel if the social networking is greatly improved here in SWTOR it will out last W.O.W. and possibly knock every other MMO out of the box for the next 10 to 15 years until we have Holo games or virtual games where as we are almost physically inside of them or something... LOL But from friends, forums and everyone else and everything I've heard and put together this list will or should help sum most if not a great majority of the complaints up.

- Downscaling for hc quests and normal quests. Would love to go back and do all the lore, but it isn’t fun when I can pull 50 mobs, and kill with an aoe. Connect hc quests specific to the lfg tool. Rewards could be daily com. and/or planet com, so mods can be sent to alts..
- some kind of protégé system, where we can do low lvl. Fp’s . , rewards.. up to all the clever heads out there.
- A way so we can do the non cross faction fp’s. Really would love to see them, but don’t have time to lvl a repside toon to 50. I don’t mind if the story ark gets broken by this, we could be in disguise perhaps.
- more new fp, not all of us have time due to rl to be on the top end of all ops content . There should be several ways to get bis, not just by raiding, though there are some opportunities to do already.
- It’s the most hot cold war ever in the galaxy, and we miss most of the fun of it. There are many planets where we are on the brink of war, bring war to those planets
Crossserver pvp battles for recourses, show us red and blue parts of the planet/ galaxy how much each faction has. ( rewards .. valor boost, buffs for increased crafting crits.. etc etc.. only imagination limits this part)
- Light darkside pvp on each server, pvp/pve inspired battles.. ok I admit .. wintergrasp was a hit(baradin was shit ). Gear that drops is divided into dark/ light side
- More huttball arenas. Hutt’s are the mob of the galaxy, there would be fights everywhere in the galaxy. We have so many brilliant locations (coruscant, on the bottom of all the gigantic buildings.

- Events, Hutt gambling events, huttball events, a mobile huttball arena we need to have to find, with only a limited amount of time to play in, before rep/imp security finds us and we have to fight them .. Republic event memorial day/ the empire day.. etc etc..
- Arenas : 2vs2, 3vs3, 5vs5
- A wardrobe function, so we instantly can change from pve to pvp gear, put it on the cartel market.
- Leaderbord in all aspects
- The railed spacegame on android, then I would play it, it’s fun, even its railed ( I was young in the 80ies, there games like this were a hit ), but sorry Bioware it does not belong in an mmo, if we can’t play it with others.
- Other minigames, don’t bother to type them out , but YES a must for a StARWARS game
- Crewskills/missions on android
- A Tauntaun mount ;O))
- Improved ambiance around cantinas
- My agent giggle ( I would get i it from the cartel market)
- Class specific dailies a smuggler does smuggling, an agent spies, Bounty hunter does bountyhunting
- 2 men fp ‘s , that can only be done with companions
- Improve chatchannels, 1-9, 10-19, 20-29.. etc
- Cross faction channel, never understood, why we can’t talk to each other, feels like we play separated the same game.
- Friends connected in an life id system
- Guild wsp.. why is it not present?
- All ops in story mode should be on the lfg tool.
- Improved travel. Now it’s the time, we have the hypergate’s , and there is the rakata transport system, lets implement it, as a travel system. At Darth Vader’s time the system is not available anymore because we find out, its based on the force, and the energy constant of the force has changed due to some imbalance of the force......
- Let our ships in space get a docking system, where we can dock to each other. Let us customise them as our dimension. And voila we have space housing. And for my part we would have funny space constructs, non linear things are healthy for the brain. As long as we are docked, we can visit each other, we could duel on the ships, or even have some open pvp going on.
And last but not least, something has to be done to improve the game engine. For my part, I have no idea about things like this, but something needs to be done.( i bought a new desktop)

Posted 12/3/2012 11:02:40 PM1) I'd like to see the Wow/Diablo 2-style talent point system go away and have the game go to a Kotor-style skills/feats system. Give me real choices, not cookie-cutter specs that people will argue about ad-nauseaum.
2) Prune / simplify all the various combat abilities. There are too many seldom used abilities across all the classes. A nice goal would be to have everything you would use in an operation, flashpoint, or pvp fit on a single action bar.
3) Ranks of abilities. Even Wow handles this behind the scenes. I shouldn't have to go back to a trainer to learn a new rank or a new skill for that matter. When your companion can sell your trash items why do we need to go back to town to learn abilities? (I can see seeing a trainer for your advanced class and speeder skills, but the other stuff ought to be automatic.)
4) Legacy support for seeing what your other character's professions are. I hate finding a schematic and having no idea if another of my characters already knows it. With the pushes for people leveling multiple toons the game could stand more support for cross-character information.
5) Addons / Mods. All of us have an itch the default UI doesn't scratch. Enabling addons would let folks have the UI tweaks that make them happy. Plus, Bioware could incorporate into the game basic items that popular addons created.
6) Cross-faction guilds or a 'friends id list' that would let you chat with people when you're playing on different sides or servers. The game allows you to /say to the opposite side, why not extend this to a bigger social realm? The easier it is to chat with friends in game the more I'm likely to stay in game. Heck, cross-faction grouping or even cross server grouping with your friends would be a major bonus. Sometimes the lore of Star Wars needs to be sacrificed to allow for more fun gameplay.
7) Mini-games. Pazaak, swoop racing, dueling arenas, etc. The group-finder went a long way to making content accessible, but having quick content is nice when you just have half-an-hour or so to play.
8) Being able to use my galactic map from my ship's hatch to travel. The fewer zone transitions I have to make the better. I understand that for story purposes I might get locked out of this feature at times, but anything to make it possible to have *one* transition between planets would be great.
9) Dual specs that include the ability to have each spec be from the two different advanced classes for a base class. If that is too much, the ability to have dual specs within a single advanced class, but have the option to change your advanced class. Even if the advanced class chance was, say 1 million credits or a number of cartel coins sometimes you just realize that you made a mistake in your choice of advanced class for a character. (Heck, put the change on a one week cooldown similar to the respec cost reset.)

Posted 12/3/2012 10:55:30 AM1. I don't expect this to ever happen, but I really wish they would use a much better engine for this game. I think it would solve so many issues surrounding fps, bugs, and many other hindrances of features that take so long to implement or we can't have because the engine is incapable of producing what we ask for.
2. I would like an appearance tab, without cost to switch out the look I want to be seen.
3. More Star Wars related gear, and no World of Warcraft inspired gear at all!
4. Which brings me to my next thing. I honestly don't feel immersed in a Star Wars universe as much as I should be. They need to play more Star Wars music from John Williams score and less of their own creations. The reason is obvious (trying to create sounds related to a Masters work is very difficult unless you are a Master yourself). Better and more ambient sounds that we can relate to, for a Star Wars setting or area. This includes lifeform sounds like in the Dagobah swamps, and even the Cantina on Tattooine. I was just a little disappointed in that aspect of the game.

Posted 12/3/2012 1:59:26 PMAbout 1 Sinroth, the popular opinion of players criticizing the game seems to be the engine, but if you play RIFT, wich uses the exact same engine, there is none of the issues.
My personal view is that in the effort to try and finish the game they hired too many fresh out of college student and the code ended up pretty unstable. I do not think the problem is the engine at all, though i certainly wouldnt mind a revamp of the graphics engine if it meant better graphics without them beeing heavier on the machine (something like TERA, but that can handle great numbers of players).
Really the point is: Dont believe what some random guys are saying about technical stuff. They really have no clue most of the time.
Also in that meeting with the fans, Dallas said they are improving the engine, wich is quite heavy and are hitting the main pillars one by one in priority order. The biggest one will be hit by the Illum patch, wich should already be quite visible in the game's performance. Lets hope that really happens. Most of the complaints about the engine would disappear after that.

I can not believe it is human incompetence preventing that which so many have asked for, even before launch, and still can't make it work to this day. Something doesn't add up there.

1. More Huttball Maps.
2. I like the idea of solo dungeons for you and 3 companions like its a party. It would bring back some of that KOTOR feel back. Rewards should be companion gear and customizations.
3. Swoop racing allowing PvE PvE and leaderboards for time attack. Rewards should be swoop pieces, cstomization, credits and cosmetic rewards.
4. Pazaak. It cant be that difficult to implement right? Its a simple game, it should be available on every cantina. There should also be something like weekly tournaments. Rewards should be credits and cosmetic rewards.
5. Development roadmap. I want to know what is coming up for the game. Its not fun to play an MMO blind. i want to know what to expect and when a new expansion comes out.
6. More story content. Class story, big world chains are all a go. Secondary quests can go to text only. I'm sure it would be best for everyone like that.
7. More ops on a regular basis, aswell as more flashpoints. We havent gotten a new flashpoint in how long? 6 months? Its ok to do less if you add more bosses. Biggest Op we got so far has 5 bosses.
8. Different species. I want yoda like and Jawa. This obviously has to be for an expansion has it would require totally new animations.
9. Best make it short like this: An expansion announced. We need to know the game is gonna be supported and we want to get excited about whats coming ahead.

Posted 12/3/2012 7:18:15 AMI would like to see some endgame missions that are not specifically tied to gear grinding, or raids necessarily. In may ways, these wouldn't be much different from your average daily, just that they might have more appeal to players more into the role playing and story aspect.
First would be playable crafting missions. They could be daily or weeklies, perhaps even 2+ or 4 Heroics, but they would be missions with the purpose of acquiring materials specific to the type of crafting. Maybe include a rare schematic or crafting material as a drop from a boss. It might even be nice to have a mission like this in the form of a space combat mission, running a blockade. While this is something that could be done like any other daily, the context would put it in a different light, I think. Having a mission where, for example, your smuggler feels like a smuggler might have some appeal.
Another type would be missions that are more attached to various aspects of lore. They would be more exploratory (using text records or alien speech to cut down on the voice talent), light combat and puzzles, like the mission we had recently on the Theoretica, as well as some of the early Korriban and Tython missions. The idea would be to advance certain aspects of lore by doing more than just finding an object to click on. Having a mission where you investigate Darth Malgus's past, or find our more about why the Mandalorians sided with the empire could be cool.
On another note, I would really like to see more done with the light/dark side system. It seemed like it ended up going nowhere outside of a few middling gear pieces and a mount.
Oh yeah, some animal mounts! I'd love a tauntaun, but the more I see them, the more I want to ride a tuk'ata :)

4) Player housing/ship customization and verity
5) The ability to use any weapons you want but train them to be profecant. Come on why can't a bounty hunter pick up a blaster rifle/assault cannon or whatever.
6) The ability to choose if we want to be a part of the Republic or the Empire. It makes no since that the republic has no bounty hunters, agents, etc. and empire has no smugglers, troopers, etc.

Not something we will see for a while at best, considering the amount of extra lines (8 stories times 1-5 companions times dialogue options) vs the visibility of the change, but the thing that makes me like on companion over another is precisely when they join the conversation now and again, to offer their views in a more direct manner than +15 affection. VA can chew through lines pretty quick, so I could see them retrofitting some of the older class quests with more chatter in an expansion, where they have to extend the personal story anyway and have most everyone in the booth already.
* The ability to invite someone to a guild by Legacy rather than character. Optional in case people want to multiguild, but for most you only ever have one guild, and it would be nice that you don't have to go through the invite hoop for every alt you make.
* Get rid of mob tagging. Wishful thinking probably, but if the engine and code allows it, I would really like them to take a leaf out of GW2s playbook and just give full XP + loot to all who help kill a mob even if not grouped. Competing for spawns or forced grouping with strangers does not build community, it just annoys and makes everything take longer.
* New Legacy unlock track: Increased XP from sidequests. Same as the one for Class quests, just for the other quests. Though I daresay with the arrival of XP boosters, this is also probably one of those we won't see.
* Animation timing tweaks. Especially noticeable playing a tank. The deflect/parry animation (which is nice and should stay in) tend to get in the way of trigger abilities with somewhat long animation (Force Scream on the warrior is where I see it most). Not sure if it is just a visual thing, or it actually delays my casting, but it makes stuff feel sluggish. Maybe just a priority tweak, such that active ability use animations superseed passive animations.

Besides the easy space combat revamp and mini games.
1) Guilds having the option to create a cross faction chat channels.
2) A Real ID style friends list.
3) Adding Additional Story Mode Operations to Group Finder.
4) Cross Server Warzones & Flash Points.
5) Here's a fun one, Cross faction Operations with Group Finder.
and i would love to see more exclusive interviews going to DH.

I mean: a way to log in my SWG characters as it was a minigame.
Is not so crazy at they put a StarFox emulator already, why not a SWG?
Seriously, this game lacks so many things that list what I will not remove from it is shorter.

1. HIGHLY Customizable Guild Ships (Ships types as well as interior colors and items). Preferably ones that are in orbit with the Fleet so we can take a shuttle to the ship from the fleet OR fly to it with our own ships. Also as previously mentioned, more reasons for a Guild to form up. Special unlocks and such.
2. More character customization and maybe even an appearance tab. I didn't really think the tab was that important until I recently added up the costs of moving ALL the mods from high end gear to orange gear. Maybe even a "third tab" just for a guild uniform.
Barring all this, I would like the ability to choose my color scheme for my gear. Obviously this would require a limited selection of colors, but even that would be better than nothing.
3. An expanded chat system that allows for "global" names as well as character names. That way my friends can find me easily no matter what character I am playing and especially if I decide to make a new character. It would also be nice if this system allowed you to talk to friends (but only friends) on the the opposing side of the game from the one you are currently playing.
4. Alternate animations for certain powers based off of previous actions. Mostly a wish for the melee toons, but others could benefit off this as well.
5. Level 50 areas on each of the planets. I hate going back to the lower level planets because it is too easy to get around / no danger.
