Today, via the official SWTOR website, it was revealed that players who pre-order the upcoming expansion Rise of the Hutt Cartel will also receive a few bonus items to go along with it. This is a welcome change for many, who expect this kind of incentive in most pre-order purchases they make.

As the first expansion announced for SWTOR, many players have been curious about specific details regarding it's imminent release. Today, Bioware made us aware, via the official forums, of a few bonus incentive items for those that decide to pre-order Rise of the Hutt Cartel. These items are:
- The Dr. Oggurobb Hutt Holostatue: This holostatue probably works in a similar capacity as the others released via the Cartel Market; in that it is a static image on a platform created by an item in your inventory.
- Makrin Seedling Mini-Pet: This pet is apparently designed to fit the theme of Makeb, the new planet at the heart of the expansion. Featuring "bark-like skin and grass like nerve-rich tissues", it sounds like a really interesting design.
- "Scourge of the Hutts" Title: Nothing much to say about this, aside from having an identifier of having pre-ordered the expansion.
As I'd mentioned previously, it's pretty common practice, particularly with MMOs but across the game spectrum, to offer incentives for pre-ordering a game or expansion from a company. Blizzard has made a habit of this with their WoW expansions, so it'll be interesting to see if this is a model they stick with in the future. Players will receive these items on the launch of the expansion, so keep an eye out for that release date.
Finally, what thoughts do you all have with regards to this incentive program? Do you like the items included? Would you like to see something different? Let us know in the comments section below. Also, I'm including the new video along with this post. It highlights some footage from the upcoming expansion. Enjoy!
