  • Lost in Translation: A Primer in Aurebesh

    We've all seen them while questing: signs in a strange language, plastered on everything from buildings to trade terminals. If you’re anything like me, your curiosity was piqued by these mysterious signs floating around, and you just had to know what they meant. Well worry no more, as we’re bringing you a comprehensive guide on not only the Aurebesh language, but also some of the more amusing signs in and around The Old Republic.   • Anticipating the Next World Event

    In the excitement of last week's free to play announcement, the mention of a new world event coming this month was somewhat overlooked. The EA press release, however, mentioned new content coming in August:

    BioWare will be increasing the frequency of game content updates, with the first of many new releases coming in August.

    An MMORPG.com interview with Jeff Hickman and Matthew Bromberg presents a more specific description of what to expect:

    They also have a brand new event for all subscribers coming in August which is a public world event like the Rhakgoul Invasion.

    As players eagerly await the start of the new event, Darth Hater takes a look back at the timeline of the Rakghoul plague, discusses how that event unfolded, explores what to expect with this next event and examines some possible quests and items involved.

  • Column: Community Events (8/3/12)

    It is time for more community events! Keep those submissions flowing in everyone, we have two new server events to bring to you, a new poll, and I ask a question raised from last week's poll! Take these ideas and run with them! Start a fight night, start a social night, pick a day to off the World Bosses and invite everyone you can. Make it fun! Maybe these two events will help get those creative juices flowing. As before, if you have any events to cover or guilds deserving of a highlight, please submit them to darth@darthhater.com with the header “Community: name of the event/name of the guild.”
