Welcome to the weekly Community News and Events Column, your home for learning about your server’s community. A healthy community is one in which players are interacting with each other and are having fun together. When a community is happy and thrives, the server remains healthy and flourishes. This week we highlight two player-run events that focus on bringing members of the community together. Afterward, we’ll put the spotlight on a guild who works tirelessly to improve its server’s community. If anyone has any suggestions for future events or guilds to be highlighted, submit them to darth@darthhater.com with the header Community: Subject.

The Art of Making Credits: The Galactic Trade Network
There are many ways of acquiring credits. From quests and dailies, to loot, to simply being given money by wealthy or generous players, credits are everywhere. This said, a majority of credits tend to trade hands on the Galactic Trade Network, otherwise known as the GTN. Though not a quick, easy or consistent method of income, the GTN can be very rewarding for those who enjoy capitalistic competition against other players. Hit the jump for pointers on how to make the fickle market work for you.

Open Forum: Game Update 1.3
With Game Update 1.3: Allies now on live servers, we want to hear what the community thinks of it. Was it everything you hoped it would be? What do you think of the new augment system? Keep the opinions constructive and do not flame your peers. We will moderate accordingly.
Next week’s podcast will feature a few of the comments as well as a discussion around the area that received the most remarks.
