Posted 7/13/2010 10:26:38 PMIn KOTOR and KOTOR II, the "behind the scenes dice rolling" is actually based off of Wizards of the Coast's Dungeons & Dragons d20 system. KOTOR used the 3.0 system and KOTOR II was more like the 3.5 system. I'm fairly certain that they adapted the d20 Modern System with Star Wars terminology before they released "Star Wars: Saga Edition" role-playing system well after both KOTOR games had been released.
The stats in the game, from Wizards of the Coast, were Strength (damage/melee hit chance), Dexterity (armor class/ranged hit chance), Constitution (health/saving throws), Intelligence (skills/certain dialog options), Wisdom (force ability/certain dialog options), and Charisma (force power, persuade/intimidate options) -- for those who are unaware. Decent system for a console game, but not sure if WoTC would release it for an MMO, seeing as how they already probably have it in Dungeons & Dragons Online. Thus, it will be interesting to see the stat system that BioWare will use in the game.
