The next podcast will be arriving on Tuesday (tomorrow) and something else should be arriving as well if everything goes as planned. We are also taking questions from the community so feel free to post some questions to us in the comment section of this post that you would like us to bring up during the podcast.
Tomorrow's Podcast Topics: Testing Sign-ups Threat of Peace EA Expanding in Austin
They will probably look at everything. Feedback and support on the forums, previous MMOs you have tested, time available, and what you think a beta means
I'm interested in what opinion you guys have on how many alien species will be playable.
How many playable alien species do you think TOR will have, & how far do you think they'll allow the aliens to look from standard humanoid? Would they only allow a species that has had a jedi or sith of it's kind? Or maybe you could choose from certain species depending on which class you choose?
SWG had 9 besides human, most looked radically different except for the zabrak. (Personally I loved playing an Ithorian because of how alien he looked, but ive been browsing all the species in the star wars wiki and there are hundreds. Some I'd like to see in addition to the SWG species would be Duros, Quarren, Geonosian, Sith, even as out-there as Kushiban or Kowakian monkey-lizards lol)
My opinion is we will get standard humanoid aliens, because they will need to be able to speak basic for the voiceovers. Could you imagine being a Wookie and hearing the same annoying grunts the entire game? Or being a Sullustan and having that speech all day long?(Oh wait, Sullustese speak a real language called Haya)
Do you think that all classes/planets will be announced with/before beta or will Bioware just set it so that you can only test their released classes/planets?
What popular unreleased class ideas do you think "won't" be in the game?
What do you think about cross faction communication? "I am your father" or "lol wut did the sith say?"
Hey guys, just wondering if some or all of you plan on participating in the beta, and if so, what limits you'll put on the information you discuss on the blog and podcast (spoilers, etc.) Can't wait for the surprise!
The NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) will most likely prohibit the ability to speak about the Closed Beta, at all. So even if we do get in, we won't be able to talk about it
If it is a closed beta with an NDA there will be likely no information from us regarding the game unless Bioware or LucasArts allows us to post a specific part of the content.
