Eria - With the focus more on casual game play, instanced type PvP makes more sense. World PvP can sometimes be slow depending on population. Instanced PvP means instant action. I would love to see an open world system work, but Im just being realistic in my thinking that I dont think it can work anymore.
Team - Giving repeatable quests that give reputation to balmorrians in the contested pvp areas can increase the action there. having enemies you defeat drop tokens that you can turn in for awards.
Avaro - If it now is a PvP planet i hope its good open but still with some objectives.
RogueJedi - I voted Yes and Open World Objectives. I do not like Timed Objectives. It just makes it too repetitive and too much of a rush. Hurry and finish the fight in 30 minutes so we can do it again in 2 hours. It defeats the point of engaging in battle if it has such strict limits.
CWJedi - I would love to see the pvp on balmorra actualy mean something and have an effect on the planet, npcs or terrian and buildings as either the sith or republic control the planet. (Preface with the possibility of phasing content with the Hero Engine)
Zenkei - I personally think that it would be a really cool idea to blend those ideas together. What if you zone into the area and it is open world PvP. Once you fight your way to an objective, an outpost, fortress, etc., you zone into an instanced PvP area. Now that you are inside the fortress, you have to fight your way to the boss and kill him or disable to fortress, etc. Then you can zone out to try to take more of the areas. By taking these PvP territories your side might get a manufacturing bonus which allows them to better equip the players or perhaps they are able to spawn more droids, weapons, etc.

Posted 10/20/2009 5:59:16 AMI can see something like that working for Star Wars...some place has some resource or artifact that both sides want, and you compete for it through PvP. Maybe have rewards at the end, and it will give your side a bonus, but you could do it as often as you wanted. Then say, if you side has control of the artifact, you can pre-load into the instance, set up traps and stuff, while the other faction has to fight their way to you and take it back or something. I'm sure some interesting things could come out of it.
Keep up the good work guys!

Posted 10/20/2009 12:57:06 PMIt's foolish for game companies to not support the Mac, especially on the AAA mainstream titles. There is minimal additional effort required to code and support Mac binaries, considering if done right every single art, audio and other assets are shared between the two.
Everything you THINK you know about the Mac market is changing before your eyes... the iPod phenomenon and now the iPhone have pushed the Apple and Mac brand in front of consumers eyes like never before, and it will be a snowball effect from this point.
