Thank you! I was bummed that my faction idea wasn't brought up. :P

One big reason is, gameplay could change so drastically between now, the start of closed beta, the start of open beta and launch. Especially with everything still very much in a "placeholder" status as the guys and gals on this site have told us. I'm not worried about gameplay until we get people into beta and they have a month or two of real solid testing under their belts.

    Two reasons for me.

    1) Sentimental Value. I've been a Star Wars fan for almost 30 years. I have my favorites.

    2) I"m a roleplayer. What species I'm able to choose will heavily influence the backstory I create for my character.

That being said, if any of the currently closed Holonet enteries were opened up, I would be just as happy about that.

I would like an update on the details of romance possibilities between different species. Will my gamorrean trooper be able to lift its gunt and plow a slutty twi'lek whore in the back of a cantina? This is important for planning out my late night rp sessions in my mom's basement.
  • #21 Sleeper
Twi'lek? Isn't that a little high for your standards? You seem more like a Bantha kinda guy
  • #26 snafu
Standards are irrelevant when the action is not consensual

My vote went to new Tab for simple reason that anything of that nature implies we have taken another large step towards open Beta and (/shudder) an actual release date. I completely understand why folks are voting for Species since that will likely be the 2nd thing you select when creating a character (after class) but even if there are sexy/cool attributes associated with the various species that actually will have some minimal influence on game mechanics I'm afraid I still view that as basically cosmetic.

However, having said that... Jawa Inquisitor FTW !
  • #17 ArcherAvatar
Definitely sympathize with the viewpoint expressed here... honestly, Wookie anything on the Empire side just sounds ridiculous except for possibly Bounty Hunter as you said. Having said that though... JAWA Inquisitor FTW !

Jawa SI is my first choice for sure:) After that, I'de prolly go Massassi SI...though I kinda doubt either one:(
  • #16 Ender Roarke
I do love the Timeline, but I'm going to have to go with a Holonet tab, because those four question marks have been bugging me for quite some time.
  • #15 Tim Skijwalker
    i want GAMEPLAY!!!!
  • #14 JediCosmin
Would really like to see other species in the game. Even though we got information regarding that Humans wont be the only ones. It's probably just as good, because from what we've seen, they are all suffering from some hair loss disease :P
  • #12 Predacon
Species would be great to find out as we've mostly seen humans, which i find to be the lamest characters to be in most games. I always go for the interesting looking alien/species where i can. Want to know which race i can make my bounty hunter.

Speaking of which, some more detailed info about the bounty hunter would also be great. We've seen a bit in action but not as much as the 2 sith classes. BH is my first choice but i am being lured to the Inquisitor due to lack of new info for the BH. Either way, 1st and 2nd class choices right there.

I put species, mostly because I think it's about time they revealed some more. I doubt we will get any kind of PvP info for a while, and end game info probably next to none. Hopefully they have it polished up before release, but I'm sure it will be just like every other new MMO release.

Realistically I don’t expect it, but I’d like to see some actual raid level information released and/or the release date announced. At this point, finally knowing the classes and the general paths they will take means all these other announcements are more style points than anything. Sure we can hear another planet or species dropped, but none of that really changes the game itself in any great degree. Rename one planet Earth or Pluto, the game isn’t any different, and me knowing that name doesn’t mean a whole lot.
Now, knowing what the raid structure is going to be like from number of players, to expected length of encounter, individual/group/raid buff mechanics. Well, those things essentially define what kind of limits the characters and the content have to have. In other words, you get a real idea of what kind of game you’re going to be playing.
At this point however, I suspect we’ll get maybe some more story elements or other insights for classes that were revealed the earliest (like they did for the Agent) last Friday, and the next “big” thing will be the “testing dates”. If the game is going to be available for a holiday push 2010, then we should know a lot more by April. If Christmas 2010 isn’t a tangible goal for them, then we may be mired in stylistic info for quite some time to come outside of those under NDA closed testing. That would be unfortunate.
