I noticed that you talked about Gear/Loot, and how you were given higher level armor than what was dropping around you when killing the mobs -- I think emlaeh was the one the mentioned it.
Did you get a feel about how we might see loot/gear in the end game? Will it be 'equal' for both solo and raid content, or does it look like it will follow the more typical Solo
This kind of hands-on impression is worth more than any marketing piece IMO. And there was one phrase in the podcast that made me feel more confident about SWTOR than I've felt in a while:

I really hope that the AGGRO ranges and Mob socialablility is significantly increased. As it was said, it was not tweaked in the Demo, but I hope that they go for a more EQ level, than a WAR level. For a game with tech and blasters, detection/aggro range should be pretty far. Ideally, I would like to also see TOR provide the opportunities to 'weave around/through', and make attempting avoiding detection part of the game -- iirc Meg mentioned it
Remember, I wrote everything in a vacuum. The only person I could compare experiences with was Meg.
Meg's experience of running up to the mobs led her to asking if they turned aggro off. I shoot them from range from the start, and I had to be ultra careful where I walked by the time I got to the building.
True. I am just comparing it to say the BH video we have seen (one with the VO and the alien subtitle VO), where when she was outside, she seemed to be able to murder guards without agroing other near by guards. I just have worries of a WAR repeat -- iirc aggro was shorter than 40'.
I am so pleased to hear that the info revealed in the Q&A about how the game is pretty much an "Open World" now that makes me a happy happy camper .....I was pretty concerned for quite awhile ..since most Bioware Games are mainly pathed instances.....cant wait to explore ...
Great Pod cast guys, you sound like you had a blast. I would like to hear more about the quest structure and the story, I know you guys are real carful not to put out any spoilers but I would like to here your thoughts on the flow of the story and how did that work into the quests .did you feel like you were still doing the same old kill 10 rats sort of thing but with more story or did the story move the questing beyond that On the vent volume topic you can try this vent trick, on the client recording the pod cast this should equalize all voices - Go to Setup - Enable Direct Sound - Select the SFX Button - Select Compressor and click Add. - Under Compressor Properties use the following settings - Gain = Adjust for how loud you want people to be. (I use 15) - Attack = 0.01 - Release = Around 500 - Threshold = Around -30 - Ratio = 100 - Pre delay = 4.0

Targeting - Was it fluid to move from mob to mob? Tab targeting vs. click targeting Stats - After switching out the armor and being unable to requip, did you notice a difference in your toons combat performance? Were the stats traditional rpg stats? Anything unusual there?
That was really great, so full of extra information that really gave detail to your Demo walkthru's & many of the more spotty ones from the other websites. Thanks so much for putting it up.
Hey! I'm thinking you guys should try a quick soundcheck and adjust mic volumes before you start recording, next time. Would make things much easier and more pleasent to listen to, as opposed to adjusting my volume per person speaking.
