Posted 8/8/2010 7:14:42 PMEver since seeing the female bounty hunter on swtor, I have thought 'I want one of those'. hehe And, I find myself really liking all of the abilites. I tend to always play a female character since MMORPG means Many Men Online Role Playing Girls.
Actually, I will have a couple 'main' characters. I will be playing the game with my son, daughter and step-son. So, I will be playing my Bounty Hunter when we all group together. I will also play a Sith Inquisitor of the Palpatine mold when I play alone. I am intrigued by the SI Maul spec also, but, we do not have enough information about the gameplay style. I would be very interested in playing a mostly melee based warrior type with acrobatics and the dual lightsabre. If the abilities are more force based than melee based, then, I am not so interested. I am very interested in the Sith Warrior Juggernaut too.

Posted 8/8/2010 6:03:09 PMI haven't changed my class since April, but I changed it since Day 1. I was set on being an evil Smuggler, but my friends are all playing Empire, so when Agent was announced I made the switch. Been happy ever since. The description of the story of the class sounds awesome, and I'm digging the combat style. I've never really played a ranged DPS class in an MMO before, so I'll have to feel it out though. Evil Smuggler, Trooper, and a Force User on each side (either Consular/Warrior or Knight/Inquisitor) are all planned for alts though.

Posted 8/8/2010 1:42:12 AMI have been on the Consular as my main choice once they released information about the class. i find the mystery of the force appealing and gleening forgoten lore from the game, amazing really. After i get my fill on the consular (or reach level cap) I plan on working through the tough moral (or immoral) choices that the sith warrior will have.

Posted 8/7/2010 11:36:01 PMI've been gaming with my brother-in-law for about five years and we're planning to play through each story at least once.
I'll be SW, IA, Trooper, & JC while he rolls BH, SI, Smugler, & JK.
SW is my main because I think I'll have the most fun with it. I've completed maybe a half-dozen KoTOR playthroughs and I have never seen the light-side ending. I'll start a playthrough saying "This one's going to be light-side." but somewhere on Taris I get tired of the straight laced dialog. For me, all the anger and hate and dastardly villian-ness that I supress IRL becomes my modus operendi. Now I'm not talking about griefing, I don't want to ruin the fun for other players, I just want to be evil within the game rules.
Evil is simply more fun, and I can't think of a better way to revel in the slaughter than as the Sith Warrior.

Posted 8/7/2010 3:24:30 PMWhat are the DH opinions to the '1 alien per class' speculation, given that all of the released races are only shown in a single different class (rather than seeing races appearing in multiple classes)? Do you think the market will or will not see this a 'too limiting' for an MMORPG?

Posted 8/6/2010 9:16:42 PMI chose "No." but that's mostly because I haven't decided what I want to play. I mean, so many of the classes look SO GOOD! I want to play a Sith Inquisitor and be all like the Emperor with Force Lightning all over the place, but at the same time, I want to be a Sith Warrior as a Juggernaut with heavy armor and force choking people like Vader. And then there's the Smuggler... who wouldn't want to be Han Solo or Lando? And of course there's the Bounty Hunter... is there anyone who can honestly say they haven't thought, at one point or another, that Boba Fett was the coolest character EVER? When it eventually gets around to when the game is released, I'll probably decide it, but right now, there are so many awesome looking options, plus we don't know anything about the Jedi classes yet...

Posted 8/6/2010 6:17:07 PMAs for class, my first choice is still and has been smuggler for a year now. I was waffling between Trooper and Smuggler because as much allure as the Empire has, I felt like being on the side of light and justice and whatnot for my main/first character. Although the Trooper does look cool and it would be sweet to become an impenetrable bastion of armor, I have to go with the gun-slinging Smuggler for four and a half reasons:
1. Persuade. I must have a silver-tongue of +4 coercion in my Bioware games. It's just how I like to play them. Obviously Smuggler is the only viable option in this case.
2. Awesome badassness/Cowboy cool. Although I don't expect to roundhouse kick anyone a la Chuck Norris, I do expect my character to look and act extremely cool.
3. Wit. Humor and Intelligence in a character leads me to believe it will have a very fulfilling and enjoyable storyline, and that's what really keeps me going in a video game. Gameplay is all well and good, but without the story it just doesn't keep my attention as well. The Smuggler story looks interesting and funny. Count me in.
4. Rarity. Smuggler, while not the lowest on the polls, are generally fairly down there in popularity, which I love. I guess my fourth reason stems from playing a Hunter in WoW. I cannot stand playing dime a dozen characters anymore. I want to be needed and not someone who can be replaced super easily.
4.5. Along those same lines, I didn't want to be a force user. They're likely going to be way too common and popular. I've run in the shoes of many, many Force Adepts in the past. I don't feel the need to play any more, especially since that would likely conflict with reason #4.
