I wanted to make note of something that was said at around 55:20 into the podcast about the mention of expanding space. According to the interview they aren't planning space pvp, so I'm not sure where PC Gamer got that impression. I also have not heard anything quoted from anyone at BW about Co-op. PvP is pretty much out of the picture though, unless something major happens to change their mind.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_aGB4q9uas 6:00 in is where they talk about space.

When asked about pvp Greg Zeschuk said, we haven't really discussed anything like that. What you're talking about in terms of pvp in space is not something we're currently planning, we're looking at space and there will be quite a bit of detail, but certainly not player vs player interactions. Based on that I don't get the impression that they plan to implement PvP in space at all. If they do it will certainly be somewhere in the very distant future of the games maturity if the community makes a big enough fuss about it, which I doubt. I'd like to know if you got your impressions about PvP and Co-op from anywhere other than PC Gamer, as I feel those assumptions were probably conjured up by a Wizard.

Reviewing the PC Gamer article, there is a 'speculation percentage' table where it essentially states that these are the features PC Gamer thinks Bioware will add to space combat and the likelihood the features will be in at launch or a later date. I never really got anything from the article that PC Gamer actually was told that PvP or Co-Op would be in, rather 'we think these features would rock and we think this is how likely they'll be added.'

i sure hope the sw juggie plays like the WAR chosen class (i actually made this analogy on the tor boards based on the class description). i never felt gimped playing a tank in pvp while playing this class. sidenote: the auras didnt look like a glowy thing at the feet but rather noxious fumes/eldritch flames coming off their armor to me. i really dont want to see this in tor as i dont think it fits the lore or style.

Can you imagine if Jedi Wizard stays in?!?

*retro shimmer to a future vision*

Hogwarts Guilds will popup all over the Republic. Consular will get shortened to Wiz or Wiztards, Potters or Gandalfs. People will request Force magic missiles &/or fireballs. Jedi Shadow will be considered a Slytherin spec or even as an easy Muggles build. Obi-Ron Weasley, ChuckMerlin, Snapemademedoit, Lukegandalf will become commonplace

    NOOOOOOO!!! ;-p

    PS great show btw.

Perish the thought. If this happened, I would make a Bounty Hunter alt and make it my mission to root out and destroy all Consular characters with Harry Potter name references.

I am the light that brings the dawn.

I agree with BW not going down the slave 1 route as very smart... otherwise, it'd be kinda stupid imo
also, the Wizards should get a Wizard hat...along with a yelllow lightsaber... automatically placed in the inventory upon becoming one, free of charge

About the concept art, I took a look at it, and those statues really look like Rakatans. Since Belsavis is the ancient Rakatan prison, I could see that concept art being an image of a special prison cell. The presence of the HK droid makes me think it could be Revan's prison if he still is alive.

I was wondering if Darth Hater (Don't know who it was) was intentionally trying to get your Tshirt in Ask a Jedi's video interview? :D
  • #18 Sleeper
Haha that's awesome, and so is the guy walking in the line with the Stormtrooper helmet under his arm. 7:21 is pretty funny

I seriously doubt they are worried about any extra press :P The area which the developers where in for the meet and greet was a VERY tiny area and it was just coincidence that Drew was sitting at the table past where they were doing their video interview. I was standing just to the right of Sado (who was the person in the DH shirt) during that interview so I can vouch on the limited spacing :)

I figured, I just couldn't stop laughing when Sado showed up in the video.
  • #20 sado
Ya that was actually completely unintentional. At the time I was talking with Drew and a couple other people that were at the table and approaching me at the time. There was limited room to move in there due to the line and the amount of people that were talking with the devs.
