That was cool thanks. I had to laugh at around the 20.24 when Justin said this man here, which was me, brought back the memories of that meet up. :)

I had my 5mins of fame I did not want to spoil the other participants :)

So what I meant to say on story is that I'm a huge Bioware fans and throughly enjoyed most of their games. The writing/storytelling ability of Bioware is one of the main reasons I keep playing their games. I first became interested in TOR because it was a new Bioware game and not because it was a new a Star Wars MMO

Is the same as the video version or different?

Different, this is the remainder of the stuff we had left. Most of this took place after people were coming off of the demo on friday, saturday, and sunday.

I wouldn't consider the comment 'this feels like a single player RPG', as necessarily a good comment.

This was a show floor demo of an MMO game, of course it's going to feel like a single player game when there are only 15 players running around at any one time, only 3-5 people per starting area.

I made the comment in the context of playing the game for the first time, on the show floor. Without anyone to group with it does feel like a single player game, the questing cut scenes and interactive dialogue make it feel like you are playing Mass Effect 2.

With full servers and grouped content it will feel like a very polished AAA MMO.

It will be if it also has all the other elements of AAA MMOs -- PvP, PvE, Crafting, Economy, etc.

If BioWare finds a way to meld story with the other elements, you will have all the amenities associated with other MMOs but also one that doesn't jettison story because they can't make it fit into the framework.

I'd like a little of both, honestly. To me, that comment is gold.

To you, it may be different, of course.

It really depends on the context. When someone says "single player RPG" they may just mean positive elements from that genre that don't conflict with the core of an MMO, like more action-oriented combat or choices with actual consequences. Both seem to be present in TOR, so that's an example.

Excellent, more material to help make the mind-numbingly boring commute a bit more tolerable tomorrow!
