I'd like to see some talk on the TK Spec for sages. It already lagged behind balance and the patch notes as they stand now will make that situation even worse. The nerfs they are putting in definelty make the hybrid spec not as good, but they are buffing the mind crush and weaken mind DOTs which means it's really difficult to justify not going all the way up the balance tree and taking Mental Scaring. All these changes will do is make people put less points in TK for PVP than they already do.Probably something like 10/31 or 7/34 (max self healing)

13/28 for PVE will still be the best, there will just be one point to put wherever you want since you won't be using TK Wave.

I liken the TK Spec to Arcane Mages early in WOW. A few utility talents worth taking, but mostly wand specilization type stuff.

Wait, did Dover just request a complete overhaul of the itemization systrm just so he can do something he can do the instant 1.2 goes live!?

    C'mon...

I know, he can wear Maurauder gear if he wanted to.

honestly, the moment we talked about "mods" I recalled my years of playing eq2 including appearance slots and I wondered why Bioware makes it for themselves so hard. Then 1.2 patchnotes happenend and it was clear. Appearance slots would nullify the use of crafter in this game.

Slightly beyond a "in a perfect world" request...

    We need Macros!

To me, the continued lack of them is game breaking. Please guys, where is the talk about a basic feature in every other MMO (that I've played).

I'm just curious, what would you do with an in game macro that you could not do, with say the macro software from Razer?

  • #7 Raoke

    Text macros, i.e. CD warnings

    Target+Ability macros

    Mouseover

Combination of certain abilities like Sunder/Strike

... just off the top of my head.

Off the top of my hat, people pressing 1 macro every few seconds and call it "raiding", should spend their time with something "more" interesting. Mouseoverhealing for healer, helpfully but as those clearing nightmare have proven, you don't need additional help and as long as Bioware doesn't design their scripts around the use of macros, I don't see any use for them.

re: 1-button pushing ... I completely agree. I'm not asking for that. Anyone who does, might want to consider Hello Kitty Island Adventure. But I think you were more referring to the Razor Mouse auto-button push, as opposed to what I stated.

re: Mouseover ... it's not just for healing. And your premise of because some have been able to clear Nightmare modes without it, therefore no one needs it is a little flawed. I played through 3 expansions of WoW with a Pally healer that clicked each target and pressed each heal with no addons needed ... good on him. Guy was very very good, but not every player is created equal, and not every healer is able to be effective like that.

It is possible. I've personally never been much of a healer, but I am able to click a target and press a hotkey. It is possible. But it's a quality of life issue. Ask any of those Nightmare mode healers if a mouseover macro would make their lives easier, and I'd be willing to bet a vast majority would say yes.

Aside from healing, it's could also be effective for tanks, in the face of abilities like Gaurdian Leap. As it stand now, I have to identify a mob has focused his attention on someone else, find that players name on my UI, click his name, hit my hot key for GL, then reaquire my target either via a lucky tab or lucky click on the screen. If that were a mosueover, I'd still have to identify the player, find his frame, and hover/click ... so how would that be game breaking?

Again, it's a quality of life of issue. And for me, personally (not for the population at large, as I only speak for myself), it is game breaking.

at least for pvp, you have to take the expertise bump into consideration.  i think someone added up the expertise on a full set of war hero gear and came up with 1300 total.  with the new change to expertise DR, that equates to about 25% so everyone is getting a 10-15% bump in expertise.  all of these changes that look like nerfs to dmg/healing will be negated by the new level of expertise.  but of course no one will really know until your decked in the new gear

Definitely agree that Shoot First was broken with no CD but the 12 second CD on Back Blast is unreasonable and it negates any buff to it's damage.
