Much better episode this week. I'm still confused about the armoring set bonsuses, etc.... for PVP Gear. Can you guys create a guide for that please? A guide on the best way to get mods, armors, etc... to put into the containement set would be great as well.

The only thing that was worthwhile to me out of 1.2 was the Event

    Cross server Warzones queues please

Dual Spec Please - There is no good spec that can be used as both a PVP and Raid spec for consulars like there was prior to 1.2

You know Pete if you're havnig server population issues, you can always do a 'Rich Man's server transfer'.

Make a new character on a new server, and get someone to twink or power level you back up to 50.  The Switfsure (West Coast PVP) and Ajunta Pall (RP PvP) are both pretty rocking, without the server ques on Fatman.  The first is a lot more empire focused, and the second leans a bit more Republic.  There's lots of great raiding guilds on the Swiftsure, and the PVP... well ...  the Empire is pretty bad, but the queues are very fast and it's easy to get premades or find pvp guilds.

If you can't wait for that, you can always try a PTS transfer, which, yeah that is its own bag, but can also be rewarding as well.  Just stop beating yourselves up and just reroll.  Rip the bandaid off.  Bioware is not going to do character transfers for months, and whatever their solution is is going to make you upset.

I personally was very happy with 1.2 and the legacy features as others have mentioned do making leveling a new toon faster and easier.  Cheer up sado!!

I am not happy at all as a PVPer.They BS us into thinking there would be ranked warzones with 1.2.There are no mini games like pod racing or pazaka. There is no guild vs guild pvp where you could destroy there city or ships.PVP atm is a total fail. There is no reason why we should not be able to q up for pvp as a guild in a 8 man group.I would love to be on the podcast and talk about how bad the pvp is.

They didn't say there was going to be any mini games, and some of the pvp features you are asking for are swg features.  We do not have player cities in this game let alone them magically adding player cities with pvp.  Where did you get any ideas that some of the stuff that you wanted was even being though about for patch 1.2??

so the +41 expertise crystal wasn't useful to you, Sado, as a pvper?

    Another great show, thanks.

Re the Ship GTN, as many guessed when this legacy was announced, Bioware has confirmed that all three GTNs are getting combined into one.  So presumeably your ship terminal will access the only GTN.

Yeah, WoW guilds charge for the first tab. I have spent 400,000 for a bank tab on several toons so 600,000 does seem high but not overly so.

I only use PvP for leveling alts 1-49, but even I knew the pre 1.2 set bonuses did not transfer due to Dulfy. Her article from March was "Note that set bonus from the pre-1.2 armor will not be transferred with the armoring"

Gearing up for Raiding is really easy. If you have a geared guild, all you have to do is make 2 runs through Hard Mode  EV and KP and Story EC and you'll have good enough gear to start running HM EC after a week.

Soloing BT can help you in Drummond Kass, good... but with those 500.000c you could get your professions 400 on any alt... I believe that does not worth buying human species.

  • #3 HeavensAgent

Using your credits to powerlevel a profession represents a very delayed reward, and its value versus the Presence boost is questionable; with a suitibly boosted companion you can consistently and immediately complete a broader range of content, thereby increasing credit flow and sellable items.

Additionally 500,000 credits is not enough to take most Professions to 400 in the first place.

  • #5 ChuckNorris

The game was desing to work properly without that legacy presence bonus, or do you want to faceroll content?

It is garbage, an expensive one, period. Laughing

  • #10 LindaNBH

I guess I just see things differently.

I use a good talent build instead of a bad talent build in order to make content easier.

I use a good rotation instead of a bad rotation in order to make content easier.

I buff myself in order to make content easier.

I used to use stims in order to make content easier.

I do not see how maximizing my companion presence is any different.

And 500k is a modest sum - my third bank tabs were 400k each, two pieces of b2L legacy gear are 400 or 500k i think.  Three dozen l48 stims are 500k ...

  • #14 ChuckNorris

Ok, send me 500.000c then, just a modest sum you know... Cool

Buy the Human species unlock for 500,00 credits and then roll an alt. the faceroll is uber fun. you can tackle content at least  2 levels above your current level, and  content at your own level is an utter breeze through. that 100+ presence buff to all caracters companions is  amazing and at 500,00 credits its  an absolute bargain, ya dont even have to fully level a human to unlock it. its  a small purchase but a major game changer for  solo play . i love it. I thought id mention this as you missed it.  I solo`ed Black Talon as a sith marauder with vette at level 11. Getting the Black Talon gear rewards at that level without needing a full group was awesome and really helped me in Drummond Kas. The Human species unlock buff is very important and way cheap.

Yeah, I have a 50 human, made a sith warrior and Vette absolutely blows things up.
