To explain the Kel Dor you need to understand their background. From the planet Dorin, these aliens evolved on a planet with a unique atmosphere, composed mostly of helium and "Dorin Gas." Because of this Kel Dor are almost always seen with their iconic breath masks and eye covers. Without the protection oxygen and nitrogen would kill them. (not to mention they are almost blind without their "glasses") One advantage is if they are forced into a vacuum for a short period of time they are able to survive, unlike most species.
Kel Dor have always had several force sensitive members. One identifying feature of force sensitive Kel Dor is silver in their eyes, if they are not wearing their protective lenses. Even prior to Jedi involvement, the Baran Do served as the trainers of the force for the Kel Dor. (Remember the Baran Do robes in Kotor II?) The Baran Do were able to develop a form of telepathy with the force that became commonplace among the Kel Dor.
If you have wanted to be a Kel Dor since the days of Jedi Academy (that is the last game I have played where I could be one) there are a couple things about their culture you may want to know. First off they like to have short names. Second, and more important, is the stance Kel Dor have on morality. It is all black or white. (sorry gray Jedi)
By now I hope you noticed the lovely screenshots within the article. These two examples of a Kel Dor appear to be a smuggler and bounty hunter, but also the same character. I say this because the first character appears to be using cover much like a smuggler. The second is a confirmed bounty hunter because in the clip of him in combat he uses a flamethrower at one point. As for them being the same character lets just hope it is a premade that Bioware uses to show off gameplay mechanics. (kinda like the characters they have when using the Hero Engine to test paths)
