Community Blog: The Next Sith Empire Class?

As usual I've been constantly vigilant over on the SWTOR forums along with the official site itself. While after watching the Official Trailer again I stumbled upon a screen shot that had a striking resemblance to one of the characters in the trailer. According to description on the site they conveniently don't say what class this is leading to my suspicion that it is an unannounced class. The description says

It takes skill to avoid detection by the Jedi.

Basically dishing out the fact that this is indeed not a Republic class, therefore excluding the possibility that it is just a smuggler.



Here's a Smuggler in the exact same pose as the possible Sith class. (Possible Hint to what class is being portrayed above?)



I don't believe its just a smuggler because if you look at the Official Trailer itself where the Sith Lord/Lieutenant had a Twi'lek Walking with him in this EXACT same outfit. After all the other two Sith Classes were shown in the trailer (Bounty Hunter, Sith Warrior).



If my prediction is right this class should be the Sith counterpart to the smuggler since we have yet to be introduced to the Empires version of the class. And in the image above along with the footage of the Twi'lek in the trailer this class is shown using cover and a small blaster. There is also an extremely similar screenshot of a smuggler in the same stance. Is this Bioware's own hint at what is to come? Or merely Alpha stage concepts being thrown into the trailer?

    Excluding a Curve Ball from BW (which I wouldn't be surprised if they did), I have to go with the consensus here...it's gonna be some type of Stealth / Spy Class.

    ive had this theory since the very first day the trailer was released. I never said anything about being not lazy :)

    Of course they will try to balance the classes. Although it would be nice if each side had one weapon that the other does not. Paladin vs Shaman in classic WoW comes to mind.

    It'll be interesting seeing what the remaining two (2) Sith Empire faction Classes still to be revealed turn out to be because the Sith could partner up with more or less any anti-jedi group/clan (like Mandalorians or Morgukai for example)/Galactic Republic haters in the galaxy and if they fell out with their new found allies they could always wipe them out hehe the sith way.....

    I'm sure that whatever it happens to be called by Bioware that there will be a stealth/cover based/dps type class for the sith empire side.

    But I highly doubt it'll mirror the Smuggler class from the republic side completely, the cover system being shared with other classes is a given just Smugglers can do it better (at least for the Republic side), and whatever this un-named sith empire faction class is will probably employ the cover tactics system as well or some form of it at least.

    Yeah, I think this is easily the best bet for the Empires counterpart of the smuggler. Whatever it's name is is unimportant really.
