The Game Developers Conference (GDC) has always been a fantastic source for those looking to get a start in the games industry and this year seems to be no different. This year's GDC will also be a great source for those looking to get a bit of insight on the development of Star Wars: The Old Republic. Session Description
This lecture attempts to expose the full complexity of MMO development and delivery drawing heavily on the presenters experience in the field, most recently constructing the BioWare MMO. Strategies for coping with the difficulties raised by this complexity are presented.

Takeaway
Attendees will see an honest appraisal of the MMO problem space. Strategies useful for coping with complex work flow scenarios are presented. These strategies pertain to process and technology, as well as, people management.
