Kotor on Steam and Planet Coruscant Revealed

Part of the reveal today was that Kotor is available on Steam (for $9.99) and other digital distribution platforms. However, that was not the reveal they were teasing about earlier in the interviews we posted. They revealed that Coruscant is a playable planet. Not much is known quite yet on this but more to come as the information comes in.

We we're able to record the demo they showed so we should have it up tonight, just a matter of getting it up.

    Since the whole planet is one city... makes me wonder what visual cue they will have to let you know you just entered an actual player city.

    Oh, any word from Obsidian about Kotor 2 going up as well?

    They haven't mentioned anything about Kotor 2 yet but I wouldn't be surprised if that was the announcement at the 2nd demo showing today.

    There was a guy behind us who got a little rowdy about the camera being in his way. Pete talked him down with his high points in charisma/persuade.

    With some luck on the shady PAX network, Pete & Sleeper will be able to deliver that video.

    I AM HAPPY ABOUT CORUSCANT IN TOR. Hopefully they can do it like Mass Effect's Citadel(maybe even with elevators everywhere) so we can have a huge city-world. The Citadel in Mass Effect is how I want to see Coruscant. An extravagant upper level like the Presidium, and a seedy underworld like the Wards. :D

    Terrific news at PAX today then, I always wanted to play on Coruscant in SWG now its come true with TFU jedi temple level and finally Tor will show it as it should be i hope.

    I'm excited to see the video, thanks for your continued work.

    I suspect that Coruscant will be accessible to both factions since there is still technically a truce going on.

    As for the Steam KOTOR, I'm curious if you'd be able to use mods if you download it from them?

    I have to imagine it will work the same as Kotor so if you used mods in the original you should be able in this version.

    thats pretty cool (though expected). Both in the kotor games, and in mass effect i enjoyed the City maps the most. I just hope it's not like a capital city in WoW, meaning i hope Coruscant serves as a planet with missions, and not just banks and an AH
