On Friday, EA had online job listings for 12 positions in Austin, including a project manager, software engineers, technical artists and development directors.
Some of those appear to be connected to BioWare's latest project, the multiplayer online game "Star Wars: The Old Republic," which is being developed by the Austin studio. No release date has been announced.
The space was formerly occupied by developer Midway Games Inc., which shuttered its Austin studio last year.
Jonathan Tate, vice president of Endeavor Real Estate Group's office and industrial division, wouldn't describe the terms of the lease but said it is a "longer term" one.
Interesting to note about it being connected with Star Wars: The Old Republic. I'm sure we will be hearing about it more later.
