E3 Expo: LucasArts & Electronic Arts Confirmed

Official forum poster armenak reported that while taking a casual glance at this year's E3 Expo Exhibitor List, he noticed both LucasArts and BioWare's parent company Electronic Arts booked their meeting rooms.

Although there isn't a booth confirmation yet listed, both meeting rooms are in close proximity to one another: LucasArts will be in Meeting Room 404AB, while Electronic Arts booked Room 406AB, and no one is listed for Room 405 yet.

E3 Expo is June 15-17 at the LA Convention Center.

Waaaaay overdue for a Timeline video. I don't think we'll get another planet. I'm pretty sure they are leaving the big stuff (species, gameplay, space) for the conventions. So that leaves TImeline, DevBlog, or Dev Video. Hopefully we won't get two Fan Friday's in a row. Even with the new stuff.

I hope to see the DH crew at E3. :D

I am not sure what is in store this time around. Possibly beta? Possibly new cinematic? Possibly any major update content besides story? Who knows? It all comes down to the power of marketing something so powerful that will blow our heads off, just like last year.

Yeah, who really knows at this point Macer, but all I can say is hopefully DH will get to go. That'd be awesome for you guys to do live updates, him it'd also be cool if you could hmm I don't take an extra person. Of course I'm not talking about myself though. :P

I have it on good (very good) authority that BioWare will be in attendance in some capacity. Via either a booth (405?) or along side EA or LA, details still being worked out.

    Just a heads up..

    Some other tidbits of interest.
    1) This is how it was set up last year too. BioWare was not listed.
    2) Last year we saw the "Deceived" trailer at E3 during EA's big presentation
    3) This year, the big TOR announcement will also come during EA's presentation, in order to maximize exposure, as was done last year.
    4) Sean Dahlberg in 2009 recap stated that we saw the release of the "first" cinematic trailer.
    5) Could we see a second cinematic trailer at E3 along with any other announcement?

Last year we saw the "Deceived" trailer that showed the Sith wrecking the Republic and Jedi. Maybe this year we'll get a fancy trailer showing the Republic wrecking the Sith Empire. Pretty please?

The Republic trailer would be tough when the game's setting is during their defeat. I am not sure they would want to spoil the game by putting a cinematic of them winning in the future as that will ruin the story's outcome when you play story quests. If they were to do a Republic "winning" video, it would be the Great Hyperspace War when they push back the Sith into exile to Drumund Kaas.

What about the Battle of Bothawui from the Timeline videos? That was a big Republic victory that was essential when Republic morale was at an all-time low. Showing a nice big battle like that between Republic Troopers and Imperial Agents(or whoever) would be nice, with shots of the various other classes contributing.

It would fit, since the Battle of Coruscant from the TOR E3'09 trailer was shown off in a timeline video a couple months before E3'09.

I think you have a great idea Rogue, and from what you said and Jedi said I think we'd get to see (eventually) a Republic "class" oriented trailer like the deceived. It would be really great for more publicity for BW, and I mean it’s star wars, no matter whose factions kicking who’s but it'll still be great. But yeah a completely new battle or something like the battle of Bothawui would be awesome. And I think something like that could happen.

True, but showing some of them kicking some dark side ass won't hurt anyone ;) The Sith who get killed in the said video don't count btw :P

Would be nice. I remember the old WoW cinematics showing as much as the classes they could in their cinematics. And it is quite logical, because the designers aren't known to favour just one faction when it comes to the marketing of the game. I'm guessing TOR will have something similar, showing everyone kicking ass, making it even harder for people to choose their character :P

    that would be asum!!!
