Animations are quite unique and far too polished. BioWare is doing a great job in putting more efforts toward the character's persona and developmental movement. The planets and the amount of species is what many will look ahead to see great things, such as the concept art of the rancor. Let's hope for great reveals down the road, and that people will be satisfied when the conventions come around. All you have to do enjoy the real life and own those Sith Maul's that Emlaeh would love to debate about for years.

Darth Maul will haunt us all as Sith Inquistor (lolol j/k Eml <3)

I'm sorry but you're completely wrong in your thought that Bioware owes us anything. We may be potential customers, but that's potential, not actual. In all actuality they could easily wait to perform updates till the day of if they liked. Most gaming groups tend to give their big updates around 6 months prior. Bioware is spreading out their updates over a year in advance of their planned release. So, you as the "potential" customer should realize that they're not going to empty their gravy bowl till its time. And as the Darth Hater group has shown there can be lots of things that can be found by digging into these little updates that they give.

Fan Fridays are just that, Friday's for the fans, for the community that actually is trying to enhance the community, not just whine about not getting updates. Its to highlight the work of people that are contributing to the community. They're now also to give sneak peaks at developer type things, like with this fan friday and having the Trooper animation or the rancor image.

Now, if you were for some reason paying for TOR right now, then I would agree you deserve regular updates on good solid information. But as we're not, Bioware can give us anything they want. They dont have to hype this game too much to get a good following. It's star wars, every mega nerd across the globe will buy the game. But instead of complaining about the "lack" in updates why not just not come around so often and come around maybe once a month ... then you'll have your "major" update feel.

Not every week can be Major Update Friday. They've already announced all the classes, and if they announced a new planet every week we'd have over 50 new planets announced by the end of this year alone. There's only so many things they can reveal, and revealing them all on Fridays rules out anything new at Gaming Conventions. Saving the big stuff for big game cons with playable demos is much preferable.

And I like the Fan Fridays, those little bits of in-game models and animation show off the game in ways mere holonet pages can't. Like the gleaming of info on new planets on the basis of a single rancor model. You have to see between the lines, and lower your expectations. Not every week can be Major Reveal Week.

Loved the Trooper animation, and it was nice to finally be able to get some clean graphics into our art teams hands

Don't look too deeply about it droids were the winners of the last avatar poll and it took them months to actually make. I do think however that they were actually making character model's as well not just avatar's to go with them.

Reasons im impessed with this fan friday.

    1) Is that a trooper cooldown animation at the end? "Keep Firing!!" " I can't my F*&^%$# hand hurts"

2)The detail on that Rancor is stunning , im inclined to go as far as saying that the SWTOR rancor model looks better than the Force Unleashed rancors.

Would be awesome to see this as a cooldown animation, but i believe this is just that "idle" animation when you just stand around doing nothing and not moving
  • #17
IDK , he goes into the hand wave as soon as the move was finnished
  • #18
At PAX, the trooper full-auto move got interrupted once. Perhaps the hand wave happens when that occurs.

I know it's way too late to notice, but in that pic of Full Auto being fired, the guy beside the guy being shot at looks like an Ithorian to me. The forward-slung head, the wide leg stance, it looks Ithorian. Do you remember if that's actually an Ithorian, or just some human who's standing weird?

    Yes it did - http://www.darthhater.com/democord/swtorpaxd (18).png

    It's also a channel so it's interuptable.

When Full-Auto finished did it put all of your other abilitys on a global cooldown timer?
  • #21
If so i wonder how it is going to stack with movement. He puts the gun to the ground for a moment... Just if a drawback of full auto is that you cant move for 2 sec aswell :S
  • #20
Yeah it was a bit interesting due to that. Maybe that animation is in there to represent a negative effect of going full auto, like a debuff, that lasts the duration of the animation.
