DevTracker Highlights For The Week of May 3, 2010

Who doesn't love yellow text from Star Wars: The Old Republic developers throughout the week? First up is a lovely insight into the Sith Empire potentially looking down their noses at rare species from BioWare's Daniel Erickson:

Interesting thread. Yes, racism (speciesism?) is out there in TOR. It rears it head rarely in the multicultural Republic but being exotic in the Empire is an uphill battle to be sure.

So much for sharing a drink with a Elomin. More from BioWare writers after the jump.

BioWare writer Randy Begel opined about the life expectancy of Jedi:
Just remember,

Jedi never die, they only fade in and out at expositionally convenient points in the plot. ;)

Imperial Agent writer and Blood of The Empire author Alexander Freed extolled patience to learn the view of purebloods:

All good questions, and you're right that "wait and see" is the answer!

It's been a long time since the days of Naga Sadow. Some things are very much the same, other things are quite different. There are reasons for this.

Glad you're enjoying the comic! (And yes, Ulicus, we do occasionally read the theforce.net forums...)

In other news, Kotaku and Gamasutra are reporting LucasArts (publisher of Star Wars: The Old Republic) President Darrell Rodriguez resigned from his position. Jerry Bowerman will serve as interim president while conducting a search for Rodriguez's replacement.
