We noticed today that Sean Dahlberg of BioWare posted the following in a thread discussing Star Wars: The Old Republic game testing that wasn't locked, as per usual protocol, and used different language:
We can confirm the image in the thread is similar to the launcher graphic we saw at E3, which gives some strength to the rumor in addition to the "yellow text post and no lock" response.
Update: Sean added more (Hat tip to Tyvarion) on the subject, reminding people what potential testers are allowed to say:
Hey everyone,
Thanks for the information and it's definitely interesting that people are posting about our Game Testing Program. We don't have anything official to say at this moment but if you have any questions, please check out the Game Testing Program FAQ.

The Game Testing Agreement that was agreed upon (when signing up for game testing) states:
PERMITTED DISCLOSURES
1. The fact that there is a Game Program.
2. The fact that you are a member of the Game Program.
Outside of that, it is a violation of the agreement to do anything more such as posting images or screen captures of anything related to Game Testing that is private and confidential and not already publicly revealed by The Old Republic team.

The Game Testing Agreement and You! | Today , 09:26 AM - Sean Dahlberg
"We have seen many questions about the Game Testing Agreement and we want to clarify a few things.
[*] Per the Game Testing Agreement, a user can state there is a Game Testing Program.
[*] Per the Game Testing Agreement, when someone is selected for testing, they can disclose the fact that they are a member of the Game Testing Program.
That is the extent of it and anything else would be a violation of the Game Testing Agreement. Users that are found to post or even repost confidential materials (such as invitations, Game Tester Portal, etc) will be permanently removed from the Game Testing Program and subject to discipline up to and including permanent removal from the service. This is not limited to screenshots of the game but taking "screen grabs" or sharing of confidential documentation and materials.
If you have any questions pertaining to this, ask them here. "

I would imagine the same holds true for posting anything about testing on DH.
---------------------------------
If or when someone is invited to Game Testing, such a document is confidential and should they share it in any form, it is a violation of the Game Testing Agreement.
To make it super simple, unless it is something that is public accessible on the website without being logged in and posted by The Old Republic Team and it's not someone simply posting "I'm in Game Testing", it is probably a violation of the Game Testing Agreement.
This includes people who are just reposting and were not directly sent the information from The Old Republic Team.

From what I have seen different people have different testing to do. So with any luck levels 1-7 will be completely tested by the end of the weekend. Hopefully (theres a lot of faith when we know so little) this will be the start of the testing phase and Open Beta is only months away. Wishful thinking I know but till full testing starts its more feedback on how much fun was the game than real testing.
It means the game is good enouf to start testing, and maybe someday they will let the europeans like me in :-)
1. There is no closed beta.
2. If there is a closed beta, you are not getting an invite.
3. If there is a closed beta and you have gotten an invite, your internet connection will now work for the duration of the beta period.
Murphy's Law, people. Sorry to break it to ya.
*remembers to not talk about what it looked like*
I am wondering if the email that Darth Hater recieved from Bioware contained any hints as to wither or not it was ligit by their tone. Nevertheless, I firmly believe that due to bioware's management responce, it was legit.
Anyway, if and when I do get beta, I won't be stupid enough to post shots of it online, I'd be too busy playing away with the class given me by the developers and killing innocent victims left and right. (Hopes to give someone a "buzz" as a sith inquisitor.)
