I can't Believe Gears of War 3, Halo and the 3DS where that far down, this actually surprised me alot considering that these games have massive fan bases and the 3DS is a new shiny gadget. But i guess start wars beats them all. nice.

It's nice to have some perspective. Following TOR so closely I forget that a few games are still more popular(at least with their casual audience).

Not to surprised that MvC3 was bigger than TOR, it is only following up the most popular fighting game of the last 20 years.
People cared about another Metal Gear Solid game?

As others have pointed out, not much real buzz for Blizzard at E3 due to Blizzcon. It's amazing to think of what WoW has done for them, when i think back to pre-WoW Blizzard. Makes you wonder if we'll be seeing Biocon in a couple years. Now that i think of it...YES PLEASE! Bring on the Minsc and Boo cosplaying!

Meh, only if they pumped out another franchise or two. ME is ending soon, and I don't expect sequels to their much older games.

Commander Shepard's story is ending but Mass Effect is a franchise and they can easily expand and do various stuff within that world.

I believe Dragon Age will probably be going on for a long time. The Old Republic will likely last 'em even longer - assuming it ends up as good as it looks so far. And they could always drop a new NWN on us at some point...ya never know.

    A) Blizzard has their own conference. Of course Cataclysm is going to be low now, they weren't shown off at E3.

    B) This probably will have nothing to do with the sale of TOR a year from now; this hype will most likely just get people on the forums and all, but a year is a long time for most people. Pretty good numbers, but it's nothing more than a good sign. These numbers will be much more important once we are actually close to release date.

    AC2).

You also have to remember that Blizzard has their OWN conference not related to E3, they really never show much WOW stuff at E3, and haven't so for years. However that being said still and excellent sign that people are interested in the game.

As for the Amazon date, isn't the end of March the end of Q2 or whichever quarter they use?

Amazon changed its dispatch date for the game to March 28th 2011. It used to just say November 2010 not actual date given. Doesnt mean much but thats the most solid date ive seen yet.

Despite I am still now powerleveling alts for WoW: Cataclysm, it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling that SW:TOR has got almost double the amount of attention/viewers, than WoW's upcoming expansion.
Though, it's not a big suprise to be honest.

I honestly don't understand why Cataclysm is on a list from E3....Blizzard didn't attend E3 this year. So of course you could look at it from another perspective and that's even though Blizz didn't attend E3...Cata was still in the top 20. So they don't even need to show up...and they still get some buzz

Good to hear and still a year away!
  • #5 Darth Ouranos
not really a year, more like 6-8 months, depending on when open Beta is, because I'm sure we'll all be playing by then.
  • #7 r2d2arm
Yes, it is less than a year, but I'm rounding up. Spring 2011 points towards April or May
