During E3 we gave live demos of multiplayer game play in The Old Republicfor the press. Now we want to share the demo with the community! This demo shows how a diverse group of players use their abilities to complement one another in battle.
Commander Narlock readies his troops for an Imperial assault. As he does, all four Republic classes; a Jedi Consular, Jedi Knight, Smuggler, and Trooper join together to assist in fighting off the attack. Watch as each player does his or her part to take on the enemies, and beat the Imperial Troopers and Imperial Breach Droids.
See how group combat will be a thrilling part of The Old Republic in this Multiplayer Game Play Demo.
The downloadable and localized versions will be available next week.
Sean Dahlberg gives further insight about the video:
This is indeed another take of what happened during E3. In here you have Brian Arndt as the Smuggler, Rob Chestney as the Trooper, Cory as the Jedi Knight, and I played the Jedi Consular.
This was something shown during E3 on G4 but we wanted to give you a version that had no cuts from start to finish, where you got to hear the VO, and saw the same setup tackled in a slightly different way.
Working Dissection after the jump.

Note: We will go back over the video once a high res version comes out to dissect the text and other abilities seen here.

Posted 7/6/2010 3:18:15 PM2.) Man theyre doing an excellent job with the lighting effects, watch the droid or any of the other characters as they fire a blaster, you can even get the effect from the lightsabers casting green/blue light although its not quite as obvious in these well lit areas.

Posted 7/5/2010 10:14:02 PMIirc, the Rodian in the E3 Smuggler video, sounded like Rodian (aka Greedo). The Mon Cals should sound like Ackbar, not Han Solo, imo.

Posted 7/4/2010 11:36:28 PMDo we know if that is the 'final' pass of the Vocals or was the temp filler for the Demo? For he amount of hype about being all VO, I am expecting quality VO's (ie a Mon Cal sounding like a Mon Cal -- throaty gargle --, rather than sounding like human doing an impression of a Mon Cal, so to speak).

Posted 7/3/2010 10:43:12 PMI enjoyed the footage. It's cool, if somewhat scripted out into roles and knowing exactly what's coming so 'perfect' raid to get the video they wanted ie no wipes etc. I wonder how hard some of the content will be. Heroic type modes would be good to offer scaling difficulty perhaps?
