Thats really cool and all, but I find it odd that awards are given out to games that aren't out yet. It won't affect the outcome of the game of course I just find it... interesting.

It's just a way to bring attention to games that looked very impressive at E3. It helps games get on people's radar. For example, I hadn't really read much about the game Rage, but after seeing it win a lot of awards it's something I'm excited to see more of and possible buy when it comes out.

All of us have been following TOR very intently, but a lot of casual gamers are going to see that it won best RPG and possible get excited about the game.

They got best PC Game last year from Game Critics. While ME2 got best RPG. Is this a step back? Then again I don't really see the merits of Portal 2 winning best PC this year.

Shouldn't Best PC be only for games that are PC exclusive? Seems unfair to give it to cross-platform games. Portal 2 could've theoretically won Best PC AND Best PS3, which would be unfair.

I don't think they wanted to give the same game the same award two years in a row, especially since it's the top award.

I would have to agree that it would be pointless to give the "same" award to the same game in back-to-back year's. Hence why I think this year they received best RPG, being that more about the role-playing was offered over last year's content.
