GameSpot Interview: Composing Music for The Old Republic

GameSpot added to today's musical theme with a video focusing on composing the music for Star Wars: The Old Republic. This video focuses on the nuts and bolts of creating the themes players will see in game and offers a great deal of insight into the minds behind the music. Although the video does not contain any gameplay footage, there are plenty of interesting comments for any audiophiles in the community. When you combine this series of interviews with today's update, anyone who loves the sounds of Star Wars may want to consider today an official holiday. For those of you that are looking for more information on the audio of The Old Republic, be sure to read our own interview with the LucasArts audio team.

There seems to be more to this video then just music composition. This image appears to reveal that Corellia will be in The Old Republic.

Knowing Bioware, Coronet would probably give at least an illusion of being a large city, as opposed to SWG's village the size of my uncle's ranch.

Corelia would be cool, I received dozens of Buffs from the medics in Coronet starport in SWG :)

oh man that brings back memories! I used to be a TKM/MDoctor outside coronet was my home! I loved buffing/healing wounds for people you make a lot of credits in a short time.

lol who didn't? Those buff lines were insane everywhere, and I could never understand how people could sit there for hours doing that over and over again. Even tho I was a MFencer/MDoctor, I was just looking at increased survivability, not being a buffbot. I guess the credits were just too good for them to pass up...

This puts a smile on my face...my old house in SWG was in a small snowy area on Corellia. =)

Oh man,
I was going to bring up the Drall, ( http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Drall_(species) ) being "native" to Corellia, but you guys beat me to it! Great community!

It is possible that the corellia intro is for a corellian colony on ord mantell. In the holonet ord mantell is described to have corellian colonists settled there. "Corellian colonists settled Ord Mantell nine thousand years ago"

I have to say as my first post that Darth Hater is excellent and this game has got me more excited than when I got married. The music is the final straw in me going truly crazy for this game.
