Our working dissection of the Space Combat Video is after the jump. As always, content that is covered in past dissections will not be covered in this one but feel free to take a look at our past dissections by clicking dissection in the tag cloud for reference. As with all dissections, we will be adding stuff on the fly so make sure to check back here for updates.
If I had to speculate I'd say they are using the same models for NPC's. They already said in PC Gamer Magazine that PvP and Co-op would be added later.
Is it just me or all of the most recent videos looking very crisp and clean almost like you would expect something that is finished to look? On topic though as somebody whose first impression to space combat was, don't care the video makes me want to check it out when the game comes out. It does not look totally barfalicious.
Lets assume the ship in screen 11 is a smuggler ship then it would open possibilitys of a smuggler story arc to smuggle things out of Dromund Kaas (pure speculation). But maybe i am misinterpreting because that wouldnt explain the presence of the other big republic starship or the possibility that space combat is just a optional part and not part of the class story arc and you just fly there like to a flashpoint.
While Peragus II does look like a good candidate, the better candidate at this point would be Mustafar, which while it is a volcanic planet in the movies, it's only just blooming with its severe planetary changes in this era after the war and the use of the super weapon that created its new planetary cataclysm. You notice that Peragus II has a huge chunk of the planet missing, while in the back ground picture for this planet it's merely beginning to crack and seep molten lava.
Actually, no it wouldn't. Endor, canonically, was not discovered until the Empire looked for remote locations to build the second Death Star. So, Endor would not be legit.
However, as alternatives, Dxun or Kashyyk would work. xD
At the end of the movie there are several shots of a planet with huge permanent lightning bolts in the space above the planet. I assume that could be Dromund Kaas.

Posted 8/17/2010 3:51:29 PMIt looks rocky and mountainous. Perhaps Hoth or Belsavis. I'd put my money on Hoth, because Belsavis has black spots all over it.
