Darth Hater at PAX East 2011

Darth Hater is back at PAX in full force with our in-depth coverage of everything related to Star Wars: The Old Republic. If you are attending, then please note the community meetup is Friday, March 11 beginning at 7 PM, at the Times Irish Bar. Remember to look for the Darth Hater shirts to identify the team on the show floor and all other events throughout the convention. If you manage to get your hands on the game in any of the sessions, please share your commentary and thoughts with the rest of the Hater community on our official thread.

I foresee Guild Space Stations as a huge reveal .........well ...one can dream.......
  • #27 Evel
Too bad they already stated they were interested in that, but it would not be in the release of SW:TOR. This was covered in a video interview at GamesCon last year.

Yea, but if you go to GameBreaker.TV, the guys read into what the Devs said about the BH class ship. That it's a big ship for its class, but small enough to fit inside of a Guild ship or something like that. So it would be awesome that if a guild reaches a certain level or feat, it would be rewarded with a huge guild space port or docking vessel.

Don't get me wrong I'd love to have the feature, but Daniel Erikson made it real clear they could not get it done for release.

Yeah I remember them saying not at release also, but then again they probably planned on releasing it a little sooner then now. But anyways, Guild Space Stations would be amazing. Or, not necessarily space stations but Star Destroyers or something that you can use as a station.

Not gonna happen at launch. Last thing they wanna do is make their world feel empty by housing guilds in separate instances. They will wait until the game world starts to feel stale and repetitive then BAM! hit um with new Guild ship environments and other features to spice up life in the galaxy.

Pax Train was awesome! honestly expected to see onlytwo or three pax attendees on the Boston train up here, turns out both of the train cars to boston that was on were completly sold to only PAX atendees because we had all booked the same train! Gaming all night from Chicago to Boston!

Only downside to the trip was priceline was off on the price of the hotel reservation by about 300$ (checking to see about cheaper rooms nearby for sat and sun) and wondering what cabs are trustworthy here but looking forward to playing SWTOR tomorrow!

See y'all tomorrow morning at PAX!

    SWTOR Character Names:

The Bastion:: Gurion (Lvl 50 LS Sith Juggernaught), Adomin (LVL 44 DS Sentinel), Achinoam (Lvl 11 Grey Consular), Tzahala (LVL 14 DS Trooper),Juliraus (LVL 9 Grey/Dark BH)

Is it just me or is this PAX going to be the most heavily covered convention by the TOR community of all the conventions that have been covered up till now. Every single TOR podcast that I listen to has representatives there. I could be wrong but this feels like the most heavily covered convention from a TOR standpoint.

    East coast is better!

I agree I think with all the releases from EA/Bioware there is a lot of hype surrounding it. Of course seeing both Jedi Classes (Playable) as well as the first instance/flashpoint is certainly a plus. The MMO community as a whole will be watching this.
