Friday Update: Trooper Progression Video

This Friday brings us an in-depth look at Trooper progression, with a video in the flavor of the previous two progression videos that goes through both Commando and Vanguard Advanced Classes, showing a progression of gear and abilities. Check out the video embed below for more info about one of Star Wars: The Old Republic's emblematic ranged tanks, including abilities like stealth-detection droids and vibroblade attacks.

Official DevTracker post is contained after the jump. Our Working Dissection from the update is in the gallery below. As with all Dissections we will not mention stuff in past Dissections. If you find something you think we should point out, add it to the comments section of this post and if we use it we will credit you for the find.

Hello expect major announcements at game conventions leading up to release!

Hello, not everyone cares about Raids!

Hello, a lot of people like these videos because it gives them a better idea of what class they're going to play!

Hello, they already have done four of these, so they need to do four more otherwise people who like the other classes don't bitch and moan!

Hello, end-game content will be the last stuff talked about since it's likely going to be the last stuff completed enough to be displayed to the public!

I've run out of "hellos!" because the other two dudes already said good ones.

    You had me at hello.

Actually, some of the abilities shown in these videos have never been seen before. So there's another thing you're wrong about. And often times just reading about the classes doesn't compare to actually seeing them in action, so there's yet something else you're wrong about.

use your eyeballs an you can read about the classes
I can care less about the other 4 that did nothing but show off armor an a few abilities that was shown in other videos before hand
o an you really cant say alot of people its the forum humpers currently.. A lot will be when they actually have a release date.

If you can care less, then your point is moot. If you actually "couldn't" care less, then I have a question: why do you even look at the updates? For a reason to bitch about getting regular updates when BW doesn't actually have to present them?

There are plenty of other things going on in the world to complain about, without stooping so low as to complain about free info you otherwise would not get.

You won the thread with every sentence in your post.

You, sir, are made of win. *tips hat*

And it is so much better to watch the updates than read about them anyway. I can certainly read about my ability to push noobs off high ledges, but I'd much rather see it in action. :)

Hello, is it me you're looking for?
I can see it in your eyes
I can see it in your smile
You're all I've ever wanted, and my arms are open wide

*sings this as he watches trooper video

    Well played sir, well played.

you have a right to your opinion, but i like them. they give a glimpse of class/AC armor/skill progression. you get to see them in action. i think they're a smart little thing to do and i appreciate BW for them.

Considering everyone and their brother knew to not expect anything big from this update or next with E3 in 10 days...

Something every week without fail is what keeps me interested. Though, lets be honest, if you're posting on a fan site you're probably going to play the game even of they tell you nothing from now until release.

These marketing things are meant to entice the broader audience.

In any case, its still a great look at the art style of the armour in the game. The day TOR is all about the same skins being recoloured and reused is the day I quit. Don't fail us Bioware, keep the product beautiful!

    Sadly quit :/
