    Looking great!

Just one thing though. I thought BW said we would get a totally different story for each class. I also saw this same quest done bt Daniel Erikson with a BH. Or are there more quests which can be played by all of the same faction? Which seems way more likely imo.

I believe they were doing a world arc quest which everyone can do

    Right! World Arcs!

With so much info floating around I tend to forget half of it :)

If i'm correct there are 3 types of quests, World arcs (which is why so many people did the quest we saw) Class quests - unique to each class and just the normal run of the mill quests which don't tie into anything as grand as world quests (i could be wrong with this one though.)

Think the game looks fun, hey even if only to play the stories through once like it's a solo KOTOR III game. Only thing that looked odd to me was the shadow quality was poor, but prob a setting. Even the speeder didn't really bother me (putting a little sticking out seat rest would be better though).

Oh, really liked the ranged Sorcerer deflecting shots away with their saber - nice touch and makes sense for them to be armed with it for that reason alone.

Yep, those graphic options were lower due to bandwith/PC configuration on E3 I believe.

They should of had two computers set up. One low end and one high end, just to show the difference.

They couldn't get the bandwidth for that, it's why they did it in low settings to begin with. Their are videos floating around that show the higher end graphics settings though.

so if i understand good even if someone in group choose light side at the end of quest and you dark side you still get points for dark/light side depending of your choice, right ?
  • #79 Vastori
    Correct.

From a single choice you can get: Affection, DS/LS points and Social points. Pretty cool. Although it was a terrible game, I was addicted to the diplomacy system of Vanguard. I'm sure I'll like the social aspects of this game.

The video they released on the website was good and to the point. I like DE's version because it shows more, but it's clear they were only going to show the same mission. I'm not surprised each class will only have 5 companions considering the number of classes. I still remember them saying a while back that each class was getting like 7 or 8 companions, but whatever as long as the Agent gets at least one force user companion. I'm more interested in seeing more gameplay of the Imperial Agent directly. Not as the other player in a video starring a Sith.

The IA getting a Force user would be great, but I can settle with the BH if need be. I just want someone with no Force to have a Force user companion. Without it, the default situation is that Force users are defacto leaders always, and that would unfortunately give the players a sense of 'right'. As stupid as that may be, some people are like that, and I would prefer it not to be officially 'sanctioned'. Besides, even Jedi/Sith will to some degree have members that defer to others. And the game makes it perfectly clear that we are heroes, so the player should be able to convince some Force users that his/her path is the right one for them.

I mean simply for reasons of balance, I can't see them giving a ranged class 5 ranged companions. Force users are getting ranged companions, it only makes sense for it to be the other way around.

Sith Warrior type companion... Melee. In any case, the companions aren't confined in the same way as the characters, they only have superficial resemblances. So I'm pretty sure any sort of combination will be possible.
