E3 2011: Sith Assassin Off-Screen Footage with Dissection



Outside of the BioWare booth during E3 2011, we were able to capture some footage of some Sith Assassin gameplay. We cannot guarantee it is very exciting due to the tendencies of the players at E3 but we can at least say it is a bit of gameplay for those looking for new footage.

We did however manage to make a dissection of the video. The dissection includes information on an assortment of gear, new abilities, and more. As with all of our dissections, items noted in prior dissections will not be mentioned here again unless otherwise important. Feel free to add your thoughts and items you noticed in the video. If we decide to use your find, we will credit you in the dissection. See the Media Gallery below for the dissection.

    Hey the four letter word is hilt that you missed in photoshop

    In image 6, the weapon's name looks like "Renowned Honored Assassin's Double-Bladed Saber" -- that double adjective of "Renowned Honored" almost seems like a tier indicator to me. Like "Honored" would be slightly lower in quality. Perhaps based on PvP rating or a similar stat? Pure speculation, but just a thought. "Also might not even be "Renowned," it's hard to read, could also be "Preowned" or "Procured."

    You can also see a section under the stats for Item Modifications on the Saber. Looks like the top one is "Power Crystal," second one looks like "Emitter ------" (maybe Matrix), third one looks like "----- Color Crystal" (maybe "Solid"), and fourth one i cannot make out at all. Even sharpened in Photoshop it's just unintelligible. It's a short word though, only 3-4 letters, but no idea what it is."

    Looks great. Wish it was some actual gameplay, but I'll take what I can get. Can't wait to play my shadow whenever this launches.

    What gets me is this is a video recording of tv screen playing the game... and it stilll looks badass.... people who have complained about graphics really have nothing to complain about

    I swear, you should have to take a written exam about how to play video games before you demo a game.

    That's what I thought when I saw Mark of Power, except I was thinking of Mark/Gift of the Wild before it was changed to match Blessing of Kings in Cataclysm.

    "Renowned Honored Assassin's" does sound like pvp gear, like WoW's Merciless Furious Gladiator whatever. If it weren't for the fact that it was white-quality I'd think it was awesome gear. :P

    And what's with all that white gear with the "Sole dx0" for names? Placeholder?

    I am going to assume the star next to the mobs portrait indicates elite mob. maybe thats why he died?
