This week's Star Wars: The Old Republic Friday Update is the Battle for Alderaan Highlights Video. The video includes footage of a group of players taking on King Ulgo. Before this, a live stage demo from Gamespot featured the quest at E3 2011 along with many others. Up until now, the context of the event was muddy at best. However, we now have a greater understanding of Alderaan's story and more specifically, the self-proclaimed King Ulgo.
A working dissection of both of the videos is in the media gallery below. Make sure to check back for more. As with all of our dissections, items noted in prior dissections will not be mentioned here again unless otherwise important. Feel free to add your thoughts and items you noticed in the video. If we decide to use your find, we will credit you in the dissection.
The official DevTracker post and video embed follow the jump. Alternately, you can view the high-definition version of the video via our Youtube account.
Update: BioWare just moments ago released a new video from E3, this time highlighting commentary from the fans lucky enough to get a chance to play. Embed of the video is available after the jump.

Many people in attendance at this year's E3 had the chance to slip behind closed doors and see a live demo of a previously unseen portion of Alderaan. In it, a group of players confronts a Republic war hero-turned-power hungry King who has seized the throne in a misguided bid to protect his people from an impending Sith invasion.
We wanted to share the experience with the community as well, so we put together this video to capture the highlights of the mission to bring down the would-be King of Alderaan.

E3 2011 was a huge success for Star Wars: The Old Republic, with thousands of fans and journalists streaming through our booth to get some hands-on time. The excitement was palpable and many people waited in line for several hours before finally getting into the booth. The reaction was overwhelmingly positive and we are truly humbled by all of the enthusiasm and excitement for the game.
We have put together a highlights video to share the best parts of the experience with the entire community. Thank you all for your continued support and passion for [I]Star Wars: The Old Republic and be sure to keep checking back for the latest updates!

Posted 6/27/2011 11:46:48 PMIn the Video, you see the group moving to engage the 4 guards at the 'shield gen'. While the guards are on 'alert' posture, the leader is just casually pacing back and forth. I would rather see all of them 'on alert', as there had just been an attack in the same large room. I do not mean they auto agro, but simply that they are taking defensive positions and expecting the players group, rather than casually walking about as if all's clear.

It's an issue that forces MMO players to frequently suspend reality really.

Posted 6/26/2011 4:17:22 PMDH, next time any of you guys are around the Bioware team and speak to Dallas, please tell him that saying that statement is very poor taste to the masses.

Posted 6/27/2011 12:52:02 PMWhat most of the people are doing at the forums though is just downright rude, They make demands of Bioware then scream and throw a hissy fit when they don't get what -they- had thought out in their head.
Makes me sick. People need to learn some respect.
