I think the reason the Killiks have the big abdomens is because BW is reusing the Geonosian model/skeleton and the Geonosians have a protruding rear. It's not the first skeleton recycling we've seen in TOR. See also the rancor, terentatek, Mantellian Savrip, and (the missing a pair of limbs due to the skeleton reuse) gundarks.

    Those *were* some tiny blasters.

While bounty hunter (along with SI) will be the final alts i roll, i totally agree with the pistol size thing. I can see little pistols for low lvls, but as you progress up make then incremntally larger. Not too huge at lvl cap, but definatley something more intimidating than in the vid/pics.

There's seriously one set of pistols that are small. The rest are normal-to-big in the video. People are blowing this way out of proportion. Don't people want variety?

As stated earlier by buddiechrist, isn't this big enough? http://www.swtor.com/media/screens/mercenary-0

    Or this? http://www.swtor.com/media/screens/powertech
    How about this? http://www.swtor.com/media/screens/powertech-0
    This too? http://www.swtor.com/media/screens/bounty-hunter-5
This is a Gunslinger SS, but I'm sure they'll have shared blaster drops. http://www.swtor.com/media/screens/gunslinger

For those still not convinced, here's a quote from Georg Zoeller on 7/2/11: "There are plenty of different blaster pistol models in the game, with a wide range of size and appearance, so this is really a complaint about the weapon selection made for video, not the game

"When asked about his choice small, almost ladylike pistols for a recent recruitment video, the Bounty Hunter just gave the reporter a mocking stare and said 'Do I look like I have to compensate for something?'"

Honestly, most people just will go for whatever has the best stats anyways. Again, issue overblown.

See, when the Powertech does the "I'm flying up into the air and bombarding you with blaster fire"-thingy am I the only one that gets slightly annoyed that all the bolts hit the same spot, several feet away from the actual mobs.
    No spread, nothing.

I mean, I'm not saying they have to actually hit the mobs, but it's not that hard to add a bit of deviation between shots. It just looks lame that way.

I noticed that too. I hope they do something to change the animation of that. The more i watch the video the less impressed I am with the Bounty Hunter.

    I agree 100% with that.

at 44 sec, the BH uses his flame but on which target? is this to kill his own arena team mate? as the other team is dead at his feet. is this for dark side points? would be an interesting addition

Did anyone notice that really awsome smoke at 2:00?

I really dont understand all the complaints about the pistol sizes in this one trailer. Have you guys forgotten all the past ones and screen shots?

You got these on the merc pics from SWTOR.com which have an awesome, old west revovler style to em, very unique and long barrels for the insecure ones out there :P
    http://www.swtor.com/media/screens/mercenary-0

You also still got beefy looking guns like this one for the old school SWTOR pics hairdryer fans.

There are a bunch of different options out there, I'm glad BW is goin the direction of bigger not always equaling better. Variety is a good thing, plus how cool would it be to roll up on some jedi who mocks your tiny pistol, only to get shut up after you set him on fire and blast him in the face with that that tiny but powerful pistol.

With fantasy games too often the focus goes on just getting bigger and adding more stuff, hell some games are to the point now where devs must be asking if the newest epic axe needs a garage added on top to make it look more "epic"

Plus any trailer that ends with a Tiger Uppercut to a Rancor sized monster = automatic win in my book!

    Your first sentence is true.

And the links with the different types of blasters aren't true?

I'm still having some trouble picturing BH heals. Could that blue bubble have been Kolto Shell from the AC page?

Edit - it doesn't really look like it. Looks more like a discipline priest-style absorb. That mitigation/absorption style of healing would kind of suit a BH, I think.

I believe there has been some comments on BH healing being sort of like Disc Priest healing. Absorbtions and reductions etc.

    Charming... yes? http://imgur.com/r6WrI

I dont get the whole "i cant picture BH healers" discussion... Bounty Hunters are all, for lack of better words, mercenaries.
Sure some of them are "purists" like Boba Fett, but most take what jobs they can, be it bounty hunting, soldier of fortune or bodyguard.
And a bodyguard needs to know how to keep their client alive. They all have different backgrounds too. A soldier would most likely know how to do at least basic healing, and probarbly would have advanced those skills seeing as he has only himself to rely on when going bounty hunter. And mandalorians definately know how to heal wounds.
