SWTOR Available for Pre-Order Now



At approximately 10pm PT, several sites including MMORPG.com, WoWWiki.com, WoWHead.com, etc. all sported new ads for Star Wars: The Old Republic pre-orders. Each ad had the same identifierand lead to a dead page on SWTOR.com. Pre-orders became available shortly after midnight via the official Star Wars: The Old Republic website and various retailers.

    anyone know if there will be more CE's? it says sold out right now but will that just be for today?
    and also, do they still charge full price and then refund the extra?

    The requirements are very modest. I was glad to hear the game works in emulation on Mac form the San Diego Comic Con Q&A.

    I wonder with the STAP from the CE, will we be able to drive it right away or still have to wait until Lvl 25 when they said that when you can purchase and ride vehicles.

    Just wanted to jump in on the fun here!

    Got a physical CE for myself and my cousin at 5:30am this morning before heading off to a work meeting. Got them through Origin without any hiccups at all (well, except for the fact that they charge the full price initially - goes away in 24-48 hrs, per customer support - no biggie). Got my code entered, and have been having a spectacular day ever since. :D Can't wait to see all your gorgeous digital faces come launch!

    This will be a day long remembered. It has seen the beginning of the SWTOR era... and maybe the end of the NFL lockout. :)

    I wonder if Bioware gets a million pre-orders on the first day. I just pre-ordered the collectors edition from Game Stop and registered it on the TOR site. It's amazing that the CE is sold out on the Origin website within a few hours of going on sale. It was still available at 7am when I checked my email before going to work. This is a good sign for us. If they are taking pre-orders then the game should be out in the fall or winter. It was tough choosing between the Deluxe edition and CE. The free month, exclusive vendor, and the authentication key did it for me.

    I pre-ordered a standard addition this morning and registered it. After finding out that the CE was sold out and after looking more into the offers (Vendor, Map, CD, Statue, etc) I decided to pick up a CE via Gamestop. I just spoke to a good friend of mine who is planning on playing with me (who is currently on vacation in Vegas) and convinced him to buy my SE off me. :) so win-win! CE for me and SE for my friend (who could care less about CE).

    I am very curious about this color crystal. The best possible outcome is if it has unlimited uses, and can be used to color your weapons to whatever color you wish (possibly what the colors you have found).
    It'd be pretty lame if we can only use it once and if it doesn't cover all colors.

    Darth Hater, you should ask the devs for more information on the color crystal during Comic-con! :)

    Based on what they posted on the preorder page it looks like the color stone will give us amber lightsabers or blaster fire.

    Yellow color crystal give a whole new meaning to those cute little bounty hunter pea shooters from the last vid.
