Wow, the puzzle element is just awesome, I do hope it works out to be something much more than just a gimmicky "turn knob A while on phase A, turn knob B while on transition, etc." and is actually varied. A variable puzzle that is different every single time you use it would be an awesome challenge. Otherwise, everyone will just have to "learn the fight" and go to swtorwiki.com or something.

hawty at 2:35, anyone from DH know who she is ; )

Anywho, the raid looks tight....seems like a scripted ending quillixx said. They look on there faces after gameplay footage was not that of a wipe in front of hundreds of people.

    More to come!!!!

does it look to anyone else that the all raid members appear grouped into 1 big group? i assumed that since the base group size for TOR is 4 that we would see the standard division of groups by that number. if it is just 1 group that has the potential for some serious game play ramifications. how will healing, buffing be effected? what about specific boss and aggro mechanics? to give an example of the concern, from AoC the tier 1 boss Yakhmar, you had to make sure no Barbs (with their fire proc) were in the main tank group or he would spam his mez ability and cause a wipe. if everyone's basically in the same group in TOR raids could this be a problem?

I would imagine that they would design the game in such a way as to not have mechanics that would cause problems if this is the case.

    That was a WIPE :(

It was a scripted wipe ;)

You could tell they were trying to show off several 'iconic' abilities, but had a few bad timings.
--- The Orbital Bombardment had no droids to kill as the last droid died right before the damage hit.
--- The AOE lightning was also used on a single droid.
--- They tried to have the Marauder's Charge ability be the killing blow on the second tower.

Sadly, no Imperial Agent: Sniper was present. They doubled up on Sorcs.

As for the wipe, they stopped healing after the bot landed, and they all purposefully moved into the AOE knockback range, save for the 'camera guy' sorc.

I was a bit bummed with the ending. The two things I really wanted to see were (A) Loot bag mechanics and what was given to a few of the classes as an example... and (B) The quantity of drops the boss gave for an 8 man raid.

Who knows how long the fight would've lasted otherwise...

I'm sure presentation time played a key factor into what they could actually show

That huge droid that they all died at looked fun to fight

I want this game IN MY BELLY!

Well it was very intense it seemed and not to mention look fun. The knocked back that big droid did was nice. I look very much forward to playing this mmo at the raiding level. I can only hope the pvp will be just as good. Even though Ive already got word that a certain area of it wasnt to much fun. But that is why its beta right.
Good video though of the raiding . Thx DH team for sharing
