Yeah, the commentary was hilarious ;-)
Hope yout get an english version soon, so you can understand...even though i could imagine, after 3-4 matches in a row, i would prefer music over the same commentary every time... But time will tell...

Ah, and Czerka Corporation is the sponsor of the arena obstacles... and when the aurebesh shows, the commentator was running a little commercial for czerka :-D

    The PIT?

Ok, i guess i have to change my outlook on Warzones PvP. I am used to battlegrounds where you learn your character's and enemies weakness and strengths (without floating power ups and or glowing balls you toss around) More of a straight up brawl for one or multiple objectives (sack, hold and conquer).

SWTOR will have more of an FPS element to its PvP, at least in warzones. I truly wish it doenst carry over to OPvP though.

I think this approach for a warzone is unique in the game...
We already have seen the alderaan warzone, who really was more serious.

Okay, the pit may be a bit "immersion" breaking for rp-player...but they can ignore it, or just see it as "ooc", i think...

Uh... say what? There were these kinds of "Gladiator" fights and "Death Games" in the SW Universe already. I'm glad they added a different take on the usual PvP stuff, and included some "sports" PvP.

Dont get me wrong, i like this approach and am really exited to see it live and play it myself...

Just the "immersion" or "story" behind this, could be hard to explain...even more, if sith and jedi are really playing in the same team etc...

But then again, i personally have no problems what so ever with the pit.

Why would people want to play Pazaak? Or do swoop races? It's just a pasttime leisure. A Jedi Knight who is pious and good may not want to get involved in it, but that's going to be up to you if you're an RPer. If you don't think your Jedi Knight would want to be involved in HuttBall, don't play it! On the other hand, that Smuggler over there might want to earn a few credits before flying to the next mission, so he's very keen to do so.

Like i said, you and me can agree about this, but i can easily see RPers, who cant...

But i think, the comment section is not the right place, to really discuss such a topic ;-)

In that Pit Ball PvP video... at :36 sec the ball is passed to a Twilek.

Ok if that is what capture the flag pvp looks like I am totally stoked.

I am curious how the story will play into this, maybe some kind of competition for something the Hutts have and both parties want.

Any news on open world pvp yet?

Not everyone can talk big about being invited to the beta. For some people it's new news.
  • #37 Evel
That or you just know where to look for "news".
  • #42 Convertible
    Oh, I know where to look, I just can't stand show-offs. ;)
