I really hope BW does something off site. I'm eastern PA and this I can make. I really want some trooper hands on time.

i realize this may be a stupid question but i want to make sure. Will SWTOR have a stand that will have a playable demo etc. like the other shows?
  • #7 Jaramukhti
NYCC is more of a pop culture convention. If BioWare is going to set up gaming stations, they will probably have to do it off-site, like they did at Comic-con with the "BioWare Base", I believe it was called. That is just me speculating, though.
  • #9 iamdachampion
will NYCC or Bioware release later whether a station will be set up or is it just a hit or miss? I dont want to pay for the entry and bus ticket if SWTOR won't be there ya know?
  • #11 Evel
SR has said many times on the forums that any convention they are at the game will be playable.
  • #15 Daeke
    What Evel said.

If we're at a show, the game's playable.

Bioware had I think two stations for Dragon Age Origins the one and only time I went to NYCC a few years back. Would be surprised if they had enough room for an entire big layout to satisfy all interested folk.
  • #4 Keegan-Vol
Hopefully they can explain wth happened to cause the beta weekends from continuing.
  • #5 Daelite
We already know. A new build. And they will continue...just not consecutively.
  • #13 keginkc
Yep. They've said all along that it's all about the new build and that the weekend tests will continue after external testing resumes. External testing generally (I've heard...) re-starts about 2 weeks after a new client is introduced (in Internal or friends-and-family testing now), so the external testers will hopefully be in early next week (the servers went down Monday a week ago, the 12th) and then the weekenders sometime after that.

There's a lot of speculation that this is the release client. Guess we'll see...

Could they possibly be announcing SWTOR at NYCC? They did say today that we could expect them to tell us the release date in late october.
  • #12 AgentOP
    They did? Where?

Could October 14th be the day we get a release date for TOR? What better venue to make that known than New York? If not then than when?
  • #14 Jonneh
Wouldn't hold your breath. They don't *have* to announce it at a show.

I wouldn't be surprised if they wait until after Blizzcon, but that is the cynic in me.

They just might wait. Because we all know if BW announces SWTOR in mid Oct, then in just a few days Blizz will announce the next expansion at Blizzcon. Blizz always introduces expansions at Blizzcon, so BW has every right to not want their thunder to be taken away in just a few days.

That's the onlt day I can attend.
